Curious cows save a seal pup!

AHHHHH, I love a feel-good story!! poor littl' one

An inquisitive herd of cows was all it took to prompt Ian Ellis, who was birdwatching at Frampton Marsh nature reserve in Lincolnshire, U.K., to take a closer look through his telescope late last month.

But instead of a bird, when Ellis looked closer, he was startled to see a seal pup peering back at him. The seal was stuck in a mud puddle while curious cows looked on.

OMG, I know nothing about seals, but that wouldn't have stopped me from running into cow pies to save the little bugger. Look at that face.

Loved the pic of the cows looking at the seal pup. You could almost read their thoughts.

We love all things nature. Currently DH and I watch the Katmai grizzlies during the salmon run from now through October on Roku, and we are avid birders too.

The birds have just begun the Fall migration already

My husband just told me the salmon are disappearing up north because of climate change.

Very kind of those cows, though they didn't do anything but stand around gaping. But, to their credit, they caught the attention of a man who could help the pup. And I wonder how the pup ended up in the field / marsh, abandoned by its mother. There's more to this story than meets the eye.
