topic Turbie Twist @ QVC in Community Chat

The other day I couldn't find Turbie Twist hair towels on the Q. I asked if they have been discontinued. Several posters responded with names of retailers that carry Turbie Twist, e.g. CVS, Bed Bath & Beyond, etc. I find the ones carried in the stores are inferior quality. They don't have nice colors -(only pink or blue solid or polka dot - sometimes lavender). I found some two pack offerings, but each had white as the second towel. I would NEVER want a white towel that shows every possible stain that even bleach won't remove.

Last year I was able to buy plush Animal Prints & solids in shades of brown from the Q. They once offered solids in pink and purple, but they were lovely jewel tones, including dark pink & purple, not washed out pastels. In addition, the ones in the stores come in cheesy boxes that show "As Seen on TV", while the last ones I got from the Q were in organza drawstring bags -- very nice for gift giving -- not a cheesy stocking stuffer.

I'm happy to report QVC now has Turbie Twist item A221678. Though I am not pleased with the color choices, I am pleased that the fabric is not a super thin terry, as found in the stores.

Perhaps TT will introduce more colors at a later date. One can only hope.
