because it is community chat! There have been posters here who have been posting for years together and going into other forums splits it up. Plus, other forums & subforums have off topics as well.

People will post with whom they feel most comfortable with - I don't see it as an issue

Viewpoints was always a mixed bag. I used to wonder why the celebrity gossip and the housewives shows weren't over in Entertainment...shrug. The good thing is we have new people posting.

What difference does it make? (sound familar?) The old forum always mixed subjects up and floated everything around. I like the 'mix it up" cuz fashion alone is rathr boring and kitchen alone is boring.........................I nver did understand all the sub-title choices, appears to be over the top for this site.

As others have said, Viewpoints was the same way. It, and now this forum, receive the most traffic so misc. threads are started here.

A good board moderator (or their team) would move them to the proper forum but..........

Because many of us have come to know a lot of people on this particular forum and value their opinions. Their thoughts and ideas matter to us.

The forum years ago was called "Anything Goes." _That_ isn't true anymore, but this is still the catch-all forum.

I agree with those who have said that it's more fun to post with people familiar to us over the years.

I rarely went to viewpoints, and I only started coming in community chat recently. On the occasions I did come in here it seemed much more current even related than all the stuff that's here now.

I have been coming here since 2007, and it hasn't changed much ...... other than the new censorship.
