Sorry...I read that Miss Mexico might not be attending...the two hosts quit, the musical act, and last year's Miss Universe, Miss Puerto Rico resigned as a judge. The story I heard said that 6 contestants are considering boycotting.

I like the pagents. Lots of lovely gowns. Contestants are lovely as well. A lot of talk, and afterall, nothing ever gets done. By all sides.

I DON'T like pageants...especially one run by a guy who turned in his first wife (mother of his 3 oldest, WONDERFUL, talented children) for a second trophy wife...and then turned HER in for ANOTHER younger, model trophy wife.

I just find it unpleasant.

A big hug for Terrier. Lots of guys with money have more than one wife and even if they don't divorce, they have a string of affairs. He is not alone in his way of being married. Lots of couples (royal couples from other countries) do the same and much more.

Lots of poor men (and women) cheat too....just look at the woman who worked in the prison...she was "with" Sweat 4 times a week, while she was married.

But the whole "trophy wife" thing is skeevy, IMO. No good looking woman would do anything other than laugh at the pageant owner if he wasn't rich and famous! Imagine if he was a garbageman...he would have been lucky to get the attention of the prison lady!!!

Topaz, this so reminds me of one of the last that I remember watching . . . I was a kid watching with my parents and whomever was doing the commentary said that one of the gowns was (phonetically speaking) ter-kwaaaz . . . I thought my mom was going to fall off the sofa from laughing . . .

....hopefully this will be the death knell for those ridiculous pageants. It is indeed hard to believe that in 2015, we still have them. I haven't watched the pageants in many years. My girls are in their late 20's now and I stopped watching Miss America and Miss Universe when they were in 13 or 14. I wanted my daughters to understand that intelligent women empower them selves throught their minds....not by buying plastic booobs and strutting around in bikinis on national tv.

Mr. Trump has young and lovely women throw themselves at him. He doesn't have to go shopping. Of course money helps or those females wouldn't be behaving the way they do. I think Joyce was a very confused and low intellect person, and as such was very vulnerable in this world for people to take advantage.

Lots of intelligent females have implants and money. Nothing wrong with wearing a bikini if you have the figure for it. I know from being pursued to be in a pageant or two in my youth that there is money for you if you win. Out here as soon as gals acquire some money, they get all the surgeries to look as if they were a pageant contestant. Must mean that they value such looks though they don't enter the events. They use their looks in various professions.

We females are the fairer s*x and there's nothing wroing with knowing our creator made us to be lovely.
