Hypocrisy......

An old friend I worked with years ago was on facebook bashing the people who will benefit from the new equality in this country, stating horrible things about them and citing the reason behind it as her beliefs.

This is where I get mad. This person had an affair on her husband when I worked with her, got pregnant from that affair, left her husband heartbroken, and shes preaching to others about whats proper and beliefs? SMH!

Understand- I do NOT care what she did or does, BUT then don't mock others with your horrible comments, stating those beliefs, when you don't follow those beliefs yourself!

She's deleted = I don't like hypocrites.

Yet another reason face book is not for me. I like saying things face to face if they are my friend or even associates. Saying something on the "super highway"?

Most of the folks that are hypocrites don't even know they are. They give themselves royal passes in life.

Shorty2U, there are many sins committed by people; gay marriage, adultery, and publicly posting wrongdoing of former coworkers for everyone to see are among those sins. No one is perfect and in the end it is between the individual and their Maker.

When I disagree with someone else's opinion on my FB page, I just scroll past and keep it moving. They aren't required to agree with me on everything and vice versa.

It's easy for me to ignore and unless they really get nasty and/or vulgar, I don't have a problem with their opinions even though they differ from mine.

That's just life; the world is full of hypocrits and bigots. The good things is that they are an endangered species. Our society, our world is moving in the direction of love, inclusiveness and respect the rights of others.....they cannot change that.

I consider gay marriage to be a legal union in the U.S.; I do not consider it a sin.

"What ever will be will be" I vowed in my life that I would not bother with anyone who tries to get me into their drama or criticism of people. Believe it or not I am very happy this way.

I agree.

I consider same gender marriage a civil right. Not a sin.

I do however think that forcing your beliefs on someone and calling them sinful is wrong and if I believed in the Christian concept of sin, I guess that would be one..

I like Facebook to keep in touch with close friends and family. Recently several people I graduated with wanted to 'friend' me. Since we have a reunion coming up. I did...BIG MISTAKE.

Now I know why I never kept in touch with those people. I decided NOT to attend the reunion either.....

Shorty, I know exactly how you feel. We know people like that, also.

The other day, a public figure ranted in the same way, saying he supported "traditional marriage." The interviewer asked him what was traditional about his three marriages.

Wookie, does she live in PA? If so, could be the same person.

And about why did I post this? I don't know it just got me wound up today. Usually I keep scrolling but the things she was saying, were well very disturbing (not just an opinion).
