I post in only two forums here

I've been posting in Community Chat and Wellness. That seems to be the easiest way to keep track of my posts. Mom to Mom would be another good forum for me, but would also invite personal posts, which I have vowed to avoid.

More than half of my posts from the old BB have been lost, which is a mixed blessing because I was thoroughly searched by at least a dozen "fans" and those personal posts were thrown up to me regularly.

Nothing could interest me less than searching someone's history on this or any board. However, for others it's the only reason they post.

Again, for the time being, I will limit myself to these two forums until this BB is satisfactorily completed. That's just an idea I am throwing out there for anyone having problems locating their posts.

Hi LilacTree-----------I pretty much will stick with my regular forums also. What used to be Wellness/Sports---Electronics(which used to be Electronic Talk---Community Chat(formally known as Viewpoints), and an occasional visit to Among Friends. Plan on sticking with my same way of posting and on any topic that looks interesting to me. As always, I will say very directly what I have to say, and let things be as they will be. It's interesting that some people just post in certain forums. In my mind, I consider it all one big forum and jump around to most of them. I do a lot more reading than posting, but I can see why people would want to avoid getting into the "hot" topics. It's like if you disagree with someone else and state your own opinion, some people take that as personal criticism rather than what it is...just a different opinion.

I first came to QVC's Forums because of Recipe Swap (now Recipes), which remains my primary interest. I naturally gravitated next to Kitchen, then Home and Garden.

The new format has caused me to wander around and investigate other forums the last week or so. Learning today that Community Chat is the former Viewpoints forum explains a lot.

So far Community Chat has been the only place I have been posting in......but In no way do I consider it to be Viewpoints....... In many ways Community Chat is a lot better now and am not having any problems with finding something interesting to post in the different threads there.

Have to say I think that the posters in Community Chat are being very nice and considerate of the other posters. And, that is good to see. Maybe some day when the Community Chat gets boring I will venture out to something else......but for now, I'm staying where I am now........

I like looking at all the discussions. I check out everything by looking under “Forums”. That way I see the current threads in all the categories. I’ve found some interesting information and discussions that way, whether it’s Mom to Mom or Beauty, Fashion, Entertainment, Home, Among Friends, etc. I've learned a lot of helpful information.

@cotton4me, I used to like looking under "Forums," too. It seems like now when I try to do that it doesn't take me to the last post that I looked at. I have my settings set up to do that, and if I look at an individual forum it will take me to the last post I saw. I don't understand why my settings wouldn't work when I'm looking at the entire forum, too. I've started just going to the individual forums now for that reason. I miss being able to look at all of them together.

I guess I am kind of confused as to the difference between " Community Chat" and "Q Talk" ...... . is " Q Talk" suppose to be just for QVC comments/ discussions?

I go all over the place. Sometimes it is nice to visit other areas. It is harder to keep track now though. I need a secretary lol!

I posted a few days ago to dmod about the lack of a sports forum. As you may have noticed I think I have posted in that forum once or twice over the many years I've been here. However, I felt bad for those of you for whom that forum is an important place. I think it is mixed in with the Wellness forum and I hope they change that soon.

And I have to admit I am no longer knowledgeable enough to post in the Electronics forum anymore, although a decade ago, I would have been a regular there!

Perhaps we should just keep doing what we were doing, as you said, John. It will either be acceptable or it won't be. I think I am trying too hard to conform and that's why I am drawing blanks most days!!

@Zita, when you're on the main page of the forum that you want to post in, "New Message" is in red on the left side of the page just above the titles of the posts.

There's a big red "New Message" above the posts in the gray box for me on the left side.

I go through phases where I post. I read more than I post.

If you type your user name in the search box then next to it community is really a drop down box where you can select users and find all your posts there.

Yes I do that also when I just want to review my posts, which is not often.

It is still no adequate replacement for "My Activity" in the old BB, which automatically listed all of your most recent posts.

Just wanted to say hi to Lilac tree. One of the forums I read and post in is what used to be the Entertainment, now Books, TV and Movies.

OT, I haven't seen the poster Romary lately; I've enjoyed reading her posts and hope she's ok.

Still here reading and trying to get used to this new and improved stuff.

Knowing computers certainly helps, but!! When someone throws an untested/brand new software update at you, or me? It has nothing to do with me building my own computers or your knowledge of computers. Those that run and/or built this website decided to make ALL of us "free beta testers" for their desire to change this BB.

Most companies that sell any new software

programs usually have employee "beta

testers", or hire some that are in this line of

work. Some are even able to get "volunteer

free beta testers" before they put there products out to us, the general public.

The same is also done for most "new and/or upgraded hardware". Here they seemed to have decided to let those that post here find the bugs in their new(and way too complex)so-called "upgrade". Remember the $billion launch of the .gov website? This is close to the same, but on a much, much smaller version.

My wife worked forclose to 30 years as a Medical/Dental insurance company analyst, the ones that authorize or deny submitted claims by doctors and patients.

They often installed new programs to maybe expedite this process, but when they did? Each Analyst would have a personal employee that knew the "in's and outs" of the new programs, and they worked with her for at least a week to make sure she knew it fully and also understood how everything jn the program worked as touted. She was not a "beta tester", which could have taken her months to learn it by the old "trial and error" method.

I usually post in Beauty. Wellness, Electronics, Community Chat and Gamers. But I would post in other forums if there are topics that interest me.

With the new forums, I have discovered the fun of Gaming.
Funny because I never even thought about checking it out before. It is giving my brain a good workout.
