What a day this has been.........

The Supreme Court's decision, the funeral service, and now hearing about escapee Richard Matt shot and killed. Here's hoping and praying they can get Sweat pretty darn quickly......that would make for a perfect day......

I'll say this, the news channels have had a very busy day trying to keep up with everything.

Beautiful service, good decision and I pray they catch Sweat without anyone getting hurt. Yep, good start to the weekend.

Yes I agree as well. The eulogy was very moving,

I did just read on FB that one of the fugitives was killed. I really don't think it'll be very long before the other one has been caught.

I've been watching MSNBC for a while now, and really like how they are reporting the search.

Yes, it's been a really unusual day......like in drugs......upper and downer. Good and bad....but that is the way life is today......

Yes, indeed it was ....there were ISIS attacks in France and Tunisia as well

Now......if they could wipe ISIS off the face of the earth, that would make all of us happy....but we know that won't be for a while...... So sad that they did that to France and Tunisia.......

They just reported that Matt shot at a man, and he went and report it to the proper authorities.......that is how they got him. They will get him, but don't know when. They believe that Sweat is in the area where the shooting took place of Matt.

Yes, that would make us all very happy and safe. The French attack was against American interests; a beheading....the scary part is that ISIS strategy is not to go to large cities as police are prepared but they are using home grown terrorists to carry out attacks in small towns...very scary

Mine began with an early morning call from my daughter, telling me about the SCOTUS decision.

YES......I am too. Too much reading, watching the TV, and posting......plus thinking and praying.

My one prayer now is that they get the other escaped convict......that would make it a fantastic day.

Thinking of what I want for my dinner right now. My tummy is telling me it is hungry, and have several things in the freezer I can fix, but just have to decide which one I want.

I just said to my husband that the evening news should be stretched to at least an hour after all that has happened today. The Supreme Court decision, the SC funeral, and the prisoner being killed...each alone would take up the bulk of a half hour program. I don't know how they'll deal with all of the events. And the terrorist attacks in France and Tunisia would also be enough as a lead story. At last count close to 40 people were killed
on a Tunisian beach. The horrors must have been unimaginable. And as a Francophile with many French friends, I am sickened by what is happening there. There are too many disaffected, misguided evil people who want to tear that beautiful country apart. It breaks my heart.

I had to stop watching the news for a while, too much sadness too much. I don't bury my head in the sand though (not saying anybody is ) I just needed time to think and pray and have quiet, whew.

The ONLY good thing was the escapee being shot. The SC decision is a thumbs down.
