I saw excerpts from her uncoming "memoir."

Does she realize how BAD she makes herself look?

Granted, the whole Playmate situation is bizarre, but she sets back the Women's Movement by about 150 years!

I read an excerpt of her book online this morning. She says she was young and anxious for fame. The story she tells sure doesn't paint Hef in a good light. He comes off looking like a foolish old codger who all the playmates would tried to avoid intimicy with. Holly said that she really doesn't care what he thinks of her book nor does she want to ever care speak to him again.

Ok, here is my problem with her excerpt.

I didn't watch a lot of their reality show on E! but enough to know she kept dogging him to have a child and potentially marry her. Whether this was part of the dialogue for the show or not I do not know but she owns it.

I was shocked when I saw the excerpt on PageSix. Nice of her to use Hef when she literally had no where to go/live and now dump on him when she no longer needs him.

Please know I find the whole thing disgusting but still . . . . own it.

The few excerpts I've read didn't make her look bad in my eyes, but it made Hef look bad. They also made one of the other girlfriends, Kendra, look bad, but she's always looked bad in my eyes. Can't believe she got her own reality show.

I don't think that having a relationship with an old man she didn't like or respect (plus faking acts with his other girls) is anyway to make a living.

The Women's Movement is about empowering women to stand on their own two feet - make lives and careers for themselves - NOT to resort to the oldest profession in the world!

She hated having relations with him, yet she was desperate to have his baby???

I watched quite a few seasons of the reality show and she's one fine actress. I truly bought into her love and devotion to him and she sure seemed happy and content.

Of course, that's reality tv for you!

I read Kendra's book and got the basic 4-1-1 on the real scene there but Holly's book sounds pretty intense.

I bought it and will download to my Kindle as soon as it's released!

Well, when you look at how many women were and are willing to give that to Hef for free, the fact that she was able to make such a living out of it shows you just how empowered she was

And thanks for saying so eloquently what I was trying to convey . . . I truly thought she actually loved Hef, that's why I was so appalled when she dumped on him like that.

The whole thing is gross.

I truly thought she was "one of the girls" and then truly fell in love with him. I actually felt sorry for her watching some of the episodes of the show (I think her pet name for him was Puffin or something along those lines, please don't quote me on that). I got the impression she left when she finally realized he would not marry her. Apparently not.

Reading how she calculated to get into his inner circle and now completely dumps on him was more than a disappointing eye opener.

I agree Terrier, she has a daughter now. This is not helpful for her future. Go be a mom and stop trying to get your name in the headlines. Your 15 minutes are up.

Holly's "behavior" is already on the printed page and there are videos too. This book sounds like her attempt to set the record straight. She acknowledges she was young and foolish. Her daughter Rainbow is young, so the book probably won't affect her except for the results of the proceeds. When she gets older and puts everything in perspective, this book will probably have no effect in her relationship or how much she loves her mom. It might even have a positive effect because Holly sounds remorseful.

Read this book and see if it makes Holly look good. She was a willing participant and did everything she could to alienate the other woman around Hef and the author speaks highly of Kendra as a nice person who never pretended to be in love with Hef but treated him with respect. They are all big girl's and chose the life style. I believe she wanted a child so she would be able to go to the bank. I have pre-ordered this book when it was first possible to get her take.

Remorseful? She lived with Hef for over seven years...

Kids can be cruel...Holly will be in the same position as Kim Kardashian...both daughters will have to live with their mom's past behavior.

Something tells me North and Rainbow will be living in a protected bubble as children to keep them away from the naysayers. I can't imagine either of them logging into the QVC Community to read the negative remarks about their moms.
