I don't understand this Gamers thing...

Why did people have to sign up to be on it, and why doesn't it show up on the side of the page? I'm not part of that group, I'm just curious. We wanted a handbag forum and we got one, and there it is on the side of the page. Why is Gamers different?

Lucky you being heard about your handbag forum. We want a BOOK forum and don't want to be lumped in with all the TV soap opera, etc. fans. We have not been heard.

But I agree, why is it taking so long to get these game threads off Community. They are making it way too difficult. Just do it already!

There used to be a separate BOOK FORUM and we want it back. Just like the handbag posters wanted their separate forum back instead of all jumbled up in general Fashion. We don't want to have to slog through all the TV and Movie threads to find our BOOK CLUB. Thank you.

MrsSweetieBear...Yes, I'm sorry about that...It definitely does make it more difficult...Hopefully, they will bring back a separate forum for "Books" again...The QTeam are responding to many requests since the change and it appears that they are doing all they can to address them all.

This is only a guess. If the game forum posts showed up to everybody, when you click "forums" it would be full of gaming posts and we would have to sift through all of them to get through to the other posts.

I'm not even sure if this is correct, but I think it is.

I signed up for the gamers forum this afternoon and basically asked the same question. The answer I received from the board moderator was basically what Mima posted above. However, this still doesn't make a bit of sense to me.

We didn't have to sign up for the other forums on the left (only Gamers that I know of) and once all the game threads are moved to the Gamers Forum, all those posts would show up in that (Gamers) forum only.

Hi Everyone, MIMA is correct.

If the Gamers forum is made available to everyone then all gaming posts will fill up the View All Form Topics page, or when viewing the Forums page (listed just below Forums & Blogs). Everyone would have to sift through all of the posts just as many experienced in Community Chat over the past few days.

Anyone who wants access to play is welcome, the Social Team just needs to be alerted and we will update your profile within 24hrs.

Yes, but before "the change" our Viewpoints Forum was omitted from the View All Forums Topics page. You only saw Viewpoints when you clicked on it.

I don't know if this has been mentioned but if a new poster comes to the forum how will they even know there are games available? They might want to play them. They are fun sometimes.

Unfortunately that feature we used for Viewpoints in the past is currently not available with the new Forums.
