HOW? Changing Registered Email

Can I change my registered email address?

I'm so sorry if this has been answered a zillion times...I could find anything, grrrrr

@sidsmom, You can edit your email address in your Account settings.

At the top of each page you'll see "Welcome [Guest or Your Name]" and if you click on that you'll see a drop-down menu with "My Account."

Girl...I knew you would know! Question. Are our emails safe? I was going to change it to a generic gmail account. What would you suggest?

Hi dooBdoo. I wanted to do the same thing because I don't want any personal "real" ID info on this site..in print...anywhere. But when I went to My Account and entered an alt email address it was like creating a whole New Account with a new password and new nic. In other words...my current nic and real email addy is still "in the system" and can't be deleted. Do you know if that's so? Tx!

Oh, I'm just offering my best guess about things, and certainly appreciating the info others are sharing, too. In the past, I've used my primary email address here but now I feel that QVC is trying to link the forums to other social media... so much of that isn't secure and I'm not at all confident about the security of this site, either. I'll probably switch mine over to a secondary email address, but that's really just another guess and a personal preference to avoid the potential of future spam.

Hi, @SaRina! I'll have to try editing my email address to see what happens. You might want to contact the website support email address to see if they could advise about the accounts. I'm sorry I don't know more about it, guess all of us are in a wee bit of a fog with so many changes all at once.

It reminds me of something we talk about in updating or modifying a computer system while it's in use... it's like changing the tires while the automobile is travelling down the road at the same time.

I have a secondary email and wasn't thinking and used my regular one. If I can't change it , I'm outta here and NO MORE SHOPPING AT QVC EITHER.....DO YOU HEAR ME QVC???????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

Do you mean that you have a secondary account with QVC? Under the New standards, a person can only sign in under one account. I guess this is to prevent multiple nics. Now maybe we won't see the same person arguing with themself. (joke)

Just curious, however, as to why you don't want to post under your regular account?

My guess is the addition of extensive settings, many of which are hard to decipher and which have the potential to allow our personal infomation to be shared with others. At a minimum, some might be concerned about more spam being sent to our email address. Then again, it's understandable that the repeated, major website problems on QVC.com (such as the time we all began seeing other customers' account numbers and email addresses on our sign-in screen) have caused many of us to be wary.
