Amazon Prime Now: Do you have in your area?

Just received notification Dallas has Amazon Prime Now....free 2-hour delivery.

Have you used? Or known anyone to use it? Wonder what the circumstances are for the immediate 2-hr delivery....!

We don't. I have Prime, and love the 2 day shipping. Occasionally I pay a few dollars to get 1 day shipping, and I think that's fast service! Cannot imagine getting my order in 2 hours.

2 hour delivery, that would be nice. Many times I shop for my classroom or my own child's school projects and to be able to get something in hours rather than the 2 days would be great!

I love the 2 day shipping but being able to finish a project or do an activity sooner than I thought with 2 hour shipping, woohoo. But I would want to know the cost. May not be worth it.

I'm in a fairly small city so I doubt if we have it here. We do have a local warehouse, though, so I get a lot of my orders in one day. I'm happy with that.

I was bummed that my Prime went up to $99 this year, but it's still worth it - well, for me anyway. YMMV

Hi Cb I love Prime, too. I'm laid up, so I'm doing much of my shopping online with Amazon. Just got a delivery of a few Easter gifts to give. DD thinks I should try their fresh food delivery. Luckily, I already got the Easter ham.

Hey Noel! Sorry you're laid up. Hope you are on the mend. This is so lame, but I ordered a Kansas City ham from the KC website, due to the sale & free shipping, BUT I already have one in the freezer. Such a bad chickie! I always seem to have one extra one on hand. At least they come vacuum sealed so they last super well in the freezer.

I've got things ready to go but the rest is up to DD and DH. I had a bad fall and am laid up with bruised ribs with small fractures. I can see why you got another ham, you love that brand! Are you fixing any sides?

We have the Prime Now service in our area. I think you need to spend a minimum of $50 to get the free 1 or 2 hour shipping.

I haven't tried it yet. I'm skeptical. I usually only get my regular Prime orders in 2 days about 50% of the time.

Yeah, I always seem to have an extra one in the freezer. I just rotate them. I'm just making some mashed sweet potatoes and a simple veg. Having difficulties lately that make it impossible just to THINK about doing anything any more complicated than that.

Generally, I don't make huge menus anyway, though. It's usually a protein, a veg, and a starch. Maybe dessert on holidays. That's plenty enough for us.

You take it easy now! I hope they are taking one for the team and making it easy on you.

They are wonderful! DH has been bringing me pain meds at midnight and then at 6am, along with breakfast since I can't take them without food in my stomach. I was thinking this morning how lucky I am to have them. It seems you and I have the same basic meals: protein, veg & a carb. We'll get a lemon meringue pie from the bakery, I'm changing a lot of plans to make it easier.
