Hello my friends! Hope you all had a good weekend and now we start Holy Week. Let us all keep this week Holy and meditate on His Passion and Death on the Cross. Today went well, we visited Deil, she has such pain in one leg, starting with the hip and going down, sounds like something a chiropractor can help so she’ll go. I brought my homemade soup and homemade bread and also our homemade wine, which she loved!! She wanted Linus to go over some Social Service papers that she didn’t understand, and he didn’t either, so he’ll be calling them in the morning to ask questions. It rained hard and the wind blew hard on the way there, but by the time we got there the rain stopped, and it got sunny, but still windy yet. Sammy enjoyed the visit there too!! He always loves to go to Deil’s house! Praying for you all!

Be wise enough to thank God for not giving you some of the things you've
asked for and gracious enough to gratefully enjoy what He gave you in its
place. Lord, You know better than I what is right and best for me.

M E D I T A T I O N F O R T H E D A Y

The power of God's spirit is the greatest power in the universe. Our
conquest of each other, the great kings and conquerors, the conquest
of wealth, the leaders of the money society, all amount to very little
in the end. But the one that conquers him or herself is greater than
the one who conquers a city. Material things have no permanence. But
God's spirit is eternal. Everything really worthwhile in the world is
the result of the power of God's spirit.

I pray that I may open myself to the power of God's spirit. I pray
that my relationships with others may be improved by this spirit.

TRAVELING ON YOUR KNEES

Last night I took a journey
To a land across the seas.
I didn't go by ship or plane
I traveled on my knees.

I saw so many people there
In bondage to their sin,
And Jesus told me I should go,
That there were souls to win.

But I said "Jesus, I can't go
To lands across the seas."
He answered quickly, "Yes, you can
By traveling on your knees."

He said, "You pray, I'll meet the need.
You call, and I will hear.
It's up to you to be concerned
For lost souls far and near."

And so I did; knelt in prayer,
Gave up some hours of ease,
And with the Savior by my side,

I saw God's workers strength renewed

I said, "Yes Lord, I'll take the job.
Your heart I want to please.

Meditation for Palm Sunday

"They brought the colt to Jesus and threw their cloaks across its back, and he sat on it." (Mark 11:7)

For all of Jesus' public life, He refused to be proclaimed or crowned by the people as the Messiah. Most often Jesus directed them to silence concerning His Messiahship. Other times when they tried to lift Him up and carry Him off in procession, He would slip through their midst. Jesus knew that the people had a very warlike image of the Messiah, expecting the Messiah to bring liberation from Roman oppressors. Jesus also knew that His Messiahship was of a different kind. Jesus' Messiahship would announce liberation into the kingdom of heaven. This liberation would occur through pardon, nonviolence, suffering, and death.

Today, on Palm Sunday, Jesus makes public the announcement that He is the true Messiah, the Anointed One. During Jesus' time people considered the palm tree a princely tree and its branches symbols of victory and well-being. So the people throw palm branches in front of Jesus to proclaim His anointed leadership. And yet Jesus rides on a donkey as peaceful people did, not on a war-horse like the generals of that time.

How many times have we hoped for a more powerful Messiah, one who would change our lives for us? How many times have we moved from pardon and nonviolence into anger and revenge? Today, like Jesus, let us process in peace and forgiveness. Let us seek the kingdom of Jesus, the true Messiah.

<h3>Palm Sunday Prayer</h3>

Almighty Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, you sent your Son to be born of woman and to die on a cross, so that through the obedience of one man, estrangement might be dissolved for all men. Guide our minds by his truth, and strengthen our lives by the example of his death, that we may live in union with you in the kingdom of your promise. Grant this through Christ our Lord. Amen.

Stop trying to work things out before their times have come. Accept the limitations of living one day at a time. When something comes to your attention, ask Me whether or not it is part of today’s agenda. If it isn’t, release it into My care and go on about today’s duties. Hello To All!

Many blessings that make me thankful for yesterday, today, and tomorrow. I do try to look at every week as a sacred one and to meet and greet it daily as such.

Went to a small but interesting museum and lunch with my husband. The day was beautiful. Believe it or not, I look forward to paying a bill today. Reminds me that I can be trusted to be responsible with any and all debts and obligations. When going within to my source, I learned to separate a problem issue from where the true love is and to focus on the forgiveness, feel compassion, let go and only see the love.

You are all in my prayers and best and highest thoughts.

I give thanks daily for this nation and all her good. We are truly a blessed people. So fortunate to be living in the here and now. I am grateful for all our outstanding troops, citizens, liberties, privileges, and freedoms - they are some of the sweetest blessings. Take care, stay safe, know your are loved. Keep near and know you are all held dear to the creator.

Good Morning Friends, It was a cold start yesterday for Palm Sunday, 17 degrees, but it didn't keep anyone from mass. The church was full, and it was a good service. It was a quiet day yesterday, with not much to post about. Gloria, I'm glad you had a good visit with your sister, and I hope the chiropractor helps her.

Hello to all who post and read. May you all be inspired in some way this holy week. I may take a drive to drop off some donations, but I'll have to see how DH is feeling first. He wasn't feeling great yesterday, and I'll be gone awhile if I make the trip. I'm never at a loss finding things to do at home, so it will be a good day no matter what.

Gloria, I'll be praying for Deil to get some relief of that pain. Do you think it could be Sciatica? Maybe she should see a Chiropractor.

Happy Holy week. We need to remember that Jesus gave His life for you and me. He could have refused and we would be lost. Praise God for His sacrifice. Also, we need to pray for America. We need revival here. Please pray for our nation.

Gloria, I hope your sister can find help for her pain. Let us know how she gets along please.

It is supposed to be 72 on Wed. That is a blessing. I met a friend a week ago that I used to work with and we had a nice talk. That was indeed a blessing. I am blessed. We plan to get together for lunch on Friday. Have a good day and I love you all.

Hello all! Love Roses, I'm so glad you are able to let go of the past and move on, thinking positive at all times, helps our inner beings, our health, and knowing that God is with us. Thanks much for your very sincere post and hope you come back again! You were missed.

Pinky - Our Church was full too, Saturday night! I'm sure Sunday was too, for Palm Sunday. I hope your dear husband is feeling better. Yes, we think for Deil, the chiropractor will be good. Sounds like something he or she can do for her. That's where we go, anyway.

Harlene - Thanks for your prayers! And I pray that soon you'll have relief of your nasty cold. Deil thinks it's arthritis.

Harlene, Thanks for the beautiful Easter card! It just arrived this afternoon. I can't imagine being able to paint like that... sigh.... Hope you're feeling better soon, and are over being sick for the holiday.

Gloria, It's amazing what chiropractors can do. Far more than people realize. I hope this one helps Deil. Even the stiff joints from arthritis can benefit from an adjustment. pinky
