Daily Positive Thread for Sunday

Hello my friends! What a wonderful day today was! Weather was nice, cool but still nice and sunny, and Lori picked me up and took me to America's Best to get glasses, and there I got two pair for only $308.00! Then we bought some birthday cards, and I made him a birthday cake, and Lori cooked a delicious meal for supper! Pork chops on the grill with a good rub on it, and twice baked potatoes mixed with peas and bacon in it. Great tasting! Then after supper, we played some Farkel, we all had a great time! They talk about snow tomorrow afternoon, and lots of it, so much for Spring! Praying for safety on the roads tomorrow.

No matter what you must confront today, know that God is with you.

Lord, today is part of Your plan for me. I do not doubt You and therefore

I will not doubt You within me.

M E D I T A T I O N F O R T H E D A Y

Persistence is necessary if we are to advance in spiritual things. By
persistent prayer, persistent, firm and simple trust, we can achieve the
treasures of the spirit. By persistent practice, we can eventually obtain
joy, peace, assurance, security, health, happiness and serenity.
Nothing is too great, in the spiritual realm for us to obtain, if we
persistently prepare ourselves for it.

I pray that I may persistently carry out my spiritual exercises every day. I
pray that I may strive for peace and serenity.

NO MORE SECRETS

My mom and I were at the supermarket doing our weekly shopping for
food and other supplies. Just as we were checking out after paying for our purchases,
we saw an uncle of mine. Mom was about to call him but stopped in mid-sentence. Then I
realized why. My uncle was with another woman, definitely not my aunt, with a 10-year-
old boy in tow. No doubt they were a family. My uncle's second family, that is. I
wondered if my aunt knew.
Meanwhile, my mom was way ahead of me — she wanted to tell my aunt
about my uncle's secret as soon as we got home.

No secret can be kept hidden forever — especially with God. Secrets
have an uncanny way of revealing themselves at the most unexpected times and unlikely
places. If you think nobody's looking while you indulge in your clandestine affair, think
again.
At Judgment Day, there will no longer be secrets. As we come before
our Maker, I imagine there'll be a big screen where our entire life will be shown for
everyone to see. Every emotion, every action, every thought and every deed will be revealed.

Happy Sunday! I'm relaxing now after mass, and not planning to do very much today. It's sunny and cold outside, but I hope it will warm up again very soon. Wishing everyone a good day, and the best for this new week. pinky

Blessings to all who post and read here. May God answer all your prayers.

It is cold here and expected to get down to 17 tonight. Wed expected to be 65. I will be glad when it stays warm. We may get a little snow tonight too.

Anika, I'm still praying for your hubby. I pray for comfort and safety and healing and God to guide the surgeons hands. I'm sure he will heal quickly and his eye sight restored to normal.
