Love thy neighbor....

In light of recent events:

Why can't we just get along.......??????

We are on this earth for just a short time. We are but a vapor.

Is it really going to matter when we are 6ft under or ashes?????

Gee, MY bible must be missing some chapters. I do not have the 'hate' chapters in MY bible. In MY bible my Jesus only speaks of love.

Matt 22: 34-40

The Greatest Commandment

34 Hearing that Jesus had silenced the Sadducees, the Pharisees got together. 35 One of them, an expert in the law, tested him with this question: 36 “Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?”

37 Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ 38This is the first and greatest commandment. 39 And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ 40 All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.”

I did some some searching and:

"Worship Allah and join none with him (in worship); and do good to parents, kinsfolk, orphans, the poor, the neighbor who is near of kin, the neighbor who is stranger, the companion by your side, ... "

[ Quran, chapter 4, verse 36]

Buddha:

"Just as a mother would protect her only child at the risk of her own life, even so, cultivate a boundless heart towards all beings. Let your thoughts of boundless love pervade the whole world."

I know I did not get all beliefs here but I think I can safely say that MOST beliefs speak of love.

'There ain't no good guy, there ain't no bad guy...there's only you and me and we just disagree'......
