Take a cleansing breath and make that call.

Please know that many people have found themselves in horrible work situations. I was falsely accused of threatening the CFO of the hospital I worked in. They wanted me outta there because my regulatory position required me to act on something a person in the executive suite was involved in(not the CFO), so came up with this piece of garbage. Had to get an attorney on my bucks and time.

I just want you to know that there will be light at the end of the tunnel. You've got your union behind you.

One of the most frustrating things from a management perspective is dealing with two co-workers who won't do what's necessary to get along. It can't be forced when two people refuse to change or adapt, union or no union.

Try to take deep breaths and be as calm as possible when speaking with the representative, okay? Saying a prayer and sending positive vibes for a good resolution.

The OP complained about her co-worker in a previous thread. Now she has an update which says nothing only that she is having a strong reaction. When you share a situation without giving even a modicum of information it leaves one wondering what's going on.

A view is a judgement so if a judgement isn't wanted why post on Viewpoints?

Could you give us the specifics of what has been happening with your co-worker since your original post, or is it too upsetting to discuss?

If you don't feel comfortable revealing recent events, that's okay. I was just curious, as others seem to be also.

I'm giving beanie the benefit of the doubt and personally feel she's in "meltdown." I've been around this world for 67 years and have seen my share of co-workers in meltdown for whatever reason.

Life is tough and it's made tougher by co-workers with agendas, be they personal or of a psychological nature.

I honestly don't think at this point that we need to know anything from beanie. What would be really nice is if we just offer her positive energy and prayers, so that she can get through this most challenging situation.

I skimmed the thread, op didn't have many replies themselves. Many people are sensitive, and can be highly sensitive depending what is said to them/or the situation. So is the op's coworker using this as a crutch to excuse bad behavior?

I never did respond on the other thread and barely skimmed it, but have had my share of work experience in my 50 years of "work life" on this earth.

I certainly learned to IGNORE individuals along the way as they came and went. It sounds like you are working for a fairly large organization. My advice to you would be to IGNORE this one as much as possible and put in for an IMMEDIATE transfer. You may not like the new job as much, but that person won't be there.

Life is too short.
