Anyone Else Having Trouble Getting To The Main Page?

I keep getting a skeleton outline of other QVC sites, no way to get to items reviewed.

This happened a couple of times last week, but it's been down over an hour today.

Hi Noel!!

Every time I change pages here I get a pop up that says ""404 ERROR"". I have to X it out.

I wonder if they are having problems with the website.

I just clicked on 'homepage' and it loaded quickly. I'm using IE11 right now.

Maybe it's Windows, DD has said she thinks I have a problem with it.

muttmom, thanks for saying Firefox is working, I think she installed that for me, I'll switch over!

Mom, in my experience, the news is when the Q is NOT having trouble with their site, LOL!

They should be embarrassed at how many problems visitors have at this site. IT crew must be related or good friends with the PTB. Same goes for the moderation.

You know, as much as I've always supported IE and continue to use it (along with Chrome), I've been noticing some weird stuff lately on IE. For instance my webmail often gets very wonky on IE, where I can be on Chrome with another email address (using the same webmail) and it works just fine.

I've also had compatibility problems with different websites, like some of the ones where I pay bills, using IE lately. I can try to log in to an account, using IE, and not even be able to do so, yet it works fine with Chrome.

Used to be that IE was the standard, as far as compatibility and other browsers weren't necessarily compatible with websites but that seems to have changed of late.

I totally agree!

Several times I've tried to order online and got the notice that the site was down. I've called in twice and customer service said they'd had a lot of calls just to tell them it was down both times.

I think you're right, CB. I've been having problems with email, also, and another site I frequent.

DD mentioned that none of her friends use IE anymore, she doesn't either, and I know DH uses Firefox all the time.

Too many hackers are trying to exploit faults in IE-- that is why you see so many windows updates to IE when you have windows updates.

Firefox is very secure IMO to browse the internet.

Mom, I've been the same way as you... I've used it for so many years and know it pretty well. DD set up Firefox for me, which I'm on now, but we didn't set up all the bells and whistles. I realy rely on my Google highlighter, do you have that?

And Firefox has "Getting Started" etc. running across the top instead of my usual most visited sites. Other than that, which is easily fixed, it looks good.

BTW, how are you doing? We've had beautiful weather here! Too hot a few days ago at 89 degrees, but other than that, it's really nice. Weird, since it's still Winter, officially.
