Host sales presentation differences

I realize that different hosts present differently and it would be boring if they were all the same. That said, I am finding I appreciate the low-key sales pitch of some hosts. It wears me out to listen to the intense almost frantic styles of presentations. Sometimes it just seems too much or more about the host than the product. One of the masters of low key is Pat James Dementri (sp?). I remember years ago Pat said that the then CEO of QVC said to not oversell the products that the products didn't need that. I could watch her and Jane Brown together for hours. Some hosts I can only watch for short times as I get exhausted watching them. How do you feel?

Yes, I feel good, watching more low-key hosts. Maybe because I'm fairly low-key, in comparison with/to some folks. Could be that we gravitate toward folks who's demeanor is similar to ours............On the other hand, though, opposites sometimes attract, lol.

I have seen PD and JB do their share of hard sell in the years I've been watching the Q, but more so this past year. Actually all the hosts are selling like their life depends on it and probably their lively hood does.

I see your point on they uber hyper hosts selling.

But the low key one are like ""blah-blah blah blah blah blah"" .

That's why I enjoy watching Alberti. I was up early yesterday, what else is new, and caught the Michael Dawkins show. They were both so calm and peaceful. Very enjoyable show without all the nonsense.
