If you're going to go to the trouble of using Potpourri in the litter box, why not just scoop it instead? I've never used Potpourri, but if it has any odor at all it could prevent the cat from using the box.

I scoop and sometimes sprinkle on the arm and hammer litter deodorizer.

I think poo pouri is too strong for the cat's sensitive smell.

PooPourri is meant to be sprayed directly in water. I don't think it would work in litter, but why not email the company with a suggestion to make a litterbox formula? I think it's a great idea. In the meantime, try the Arm & Hammer litterbox deodorizer that another poster suggested. I use it and it works great.

Hello, rosiesmom and welcome.

Hmm......I don't know if it's safe. Did the vendor for Poopouri say it was safe to use around pets? Cat litter is very different from toilet. For people, they never have to touch the toilet water. But it's different for cats because they'll actually be walking in and touching the cat litter.

Don't do it--the last thing you want to do is put a cat off from using his box. There are powder additives made just for this (nature's miracle makes one) but if you scoop and change the litter often it shouldn't need anything extra. Essential oils and cats are a bad mix.
