WHAT ARE YOU PAYING FOR GAS NOW ??

Where are you located ..... what did you pay a month ago .... and what are they charging now?

I'm in Los Angeles .... paid $2.29 a month ago ..... and paid $3.25 last week.

I paid around $2.79 for high octane (my car manual calls for it and it lugs in a lower octane)...located in Henderson NV.

I just posted in the other thread on gas. We paid $1.15 a gallon for gas last week (didn't fill it this week) because we shop at Giant and they give gas points for grocery shopping. Plus we live near my husbands job so we don't use much gas.

Wow $1.15. We are back up to $2.16 after dropping down to about $1.80 steady climb back up.

$2.25 last week in Portland, OR. Today it was $2.85.

South east Alabama. I think it was $2.12 all last month. Yesterday it went up to $2.25.

I was out and about today in Albuquerque and noticed it is $2.29/gal. Two weeks ago, it was $1.69/gal.

Boy, that's something I never look at on a fill by fill basis. When it started to get up in the $3 range, I rounded up my budget to $4. That's a price point I'll stick with. I figure, if I need it, it need it no matter what the price.

There was a major fire at an LA refinery, causing supplies to go down and prices to rise. Plus I think there has also been a strike at another refinery.

It's also the time of year when companies have to switch to spring/summer blends.

CA has a very specific blend, only used in that state - to keep down pollution. So with the refineries off line, prices had to rise.

Yes, they say it's more expensive for the spring and summer blends, but more efficient.

I've never noticed any difference.

The lowest we ever got down to here in the Buffalo, NY area was about $2.44.9. I think it's around $2.55 now! Oh well.... **********hi, dmod!!
