It is 5 degrees here in southern WV, and the sun is shining. We have 20+ inches of snow on the ground, and will be getting up to 5" more tonight. I can handle the snow, but this is week 2 of arctic cold air, which is miserable. Our most recent electric bill was $330, but am very thankful to have been toasty and warm.

I've been hating this 'winter' as there is nothing winter about it. I'm used to cold temps and snow, here in N. NV, and it's getting worse every year. I really love winter. I fear that it will keep getting worse and worse to the extent that we will end up having bugs all year long and fleas will be up here next. I'm checking out if it gets that bad. I miss the winter we had here for decades until about the last 10 years or so.

The one time it has snowed was in Dec and it was only like 2-3". The mountains are totally bare and I wonder how they are making it.

That map is pretty generic and inaccurate.

It's been colder in Texas than it has been up here for some time now! That's just truly bizarre!

Not major, but several inches. The last few years we haven't even gotten a dusting, and the temps have been in the 50s, nearing 60s. I don't like the extremes like they've been having back East, but a bit colder would be nice.
