QVC prices keep rising

I just had to put this out there because I've been noticing it for a long time now. I was scanning Lori Goldstein's collection when I came across one of my favorite tops: a236447 which up until a couple of days ago was 49.75$ and is now 54.75$: a 5$ hike. This goes on constantly with QVC; prices rising suddenly by 5 bucks, and some even more, like in beauty products. QVC doesn't seem to care about keeping customers because they provide very little incentives, and probably feel that for every customer they lose, more will be gained. Perhaps it's because they have very good quality merchandise, and don't feel it is important to provide reasonable and rational incentives to keep customers coming back. Bottom line is that I just wish they would not continue to raise prices since they are high enough as it is.

Not shocked. S/H prices go down in price...merchandise goes up in price. I do not buy clothing here. I love WEN, a few MU items and a few bits of jewelry that is about it. I price some where else before hitting the submit button on everything.

QVC is a business which exists for no other reason than to make money. Why do people act like QVC is committing some sort of cardinal sin because they raise prices?

No one is forced to buy from QVC, and QVC sells nothing that is essential to life. If we do not like QVC's pricing, we can always shop elsewhere, but stop acting as if this should be some sort o non-profit organization.

Have been receiving one e-mail after the other from the Q on the new fashions and the $3 S&H...... There are some things that I own that they are bringing back, and yes, they have gone up in price. They're not giving us anything...... Maybe some day they will understand what they have done.....especially when their sales go way down....... What they are doing is like robbing Peter to pay Paul...... and then the return policy is something else too.....

I don't get why everybody acts "shocked" when QVC raises their prices.

I mean, hello! The price of EVERYTHING has gone up!

Haven't people been paying attention to how much food costs at the grocery store?

How come they are not screaming about food prices going up?

Gas prices are on the INCREASE, yet no one is hollering about that.

So, everybody else can raise their prices, and it's okay, but if QVC dares to raise their prices, it's somehow, a cardinal sin?

People need to accept the fact, that QVC is a business, and they are in it to make a profit, and that QVC will never be the $0.99 store.

The same thing is happening with Amazon. Since they went with Amazon Prime, their prices have drastically gone up.

I was looking for a child's overnight case for my grandson. Amazon, with Prime shipping, was $37. Walmart.com, with free store pick-up, was $19. The item was exactly the same.

The one thing I am thankful for is that chocolate has gotten so expensive, lol. I won't pay the high prices. We were walking through the store the other day and I noticed that a bag of Snickers miniature bars was $10! And, the local chocolate shop is selling their homemade chocolates for close to $20 per pound!

I want to know what product or commodity hasn't gone up in price, often in unreasonable increments. Q's prices when up to absorb the handling part of the reduced S&H charges. What excuse does my supermarket have.

I have an interesting take on supermarket prices. Forget global warming and every other excuse from the talking heads. People are shelling out less $ on just about everything to keep a few extra bucks in their pockets.

In the case of big box grocers like Meijer here that offer everything from cans of soups & nuts to clothing & hardware.....my guess is that hard lines are suffering. But people still need to eat. Higher grocery prices offset the fact that less soft lines shlock is selling.

But QVC is still my favorite retailer, there is no part of the QVC experience that I don't love. I think the prices, in general, are reasonable compared to major department stores and boutiques.

Point is, people are all upset that QVC dared to raise their prices, when the prices of E-V-E-R-Y-T-H-I-N-G has gone up, yet no one is screaming and throwing a temper tantrum over food prices going up, or gas prices going up.

So, apparently, it's perfectly a-okay for everybody else to raise their prices, but how DARE QVC do the same exact thing that is going on everywhere else.
