We sawed a table in half......(pictures included).

Well, not exactly in half because one is a bit bigger than the other. I've been searching antique/second hand stores across five counties looking for one of those half-tables that fit against the wall. Usually, I see them everywhere.....but that was when I wasn't wanting one. LOL! Anyway, the only ones I've found were either too short or they were more than I was willing to pay.

Last weekend, I finally just bought a full oval-shaped table that was pretty beat-up. I paid $30 for it, and my husband sawed it into two. I was able to use both sides, so I feel like I got two tables for that price. One side was in pretty good shape (I like shabby chic, so I don't mind imperfection). The other side was rougher so we sanded it down and refinished it.

Very cute. I have the exact same table in my living room. It's behind my sofa with a Tiffany style lamp on it. I've had it for more years than I can remember.

Romary, I don't know....he took it down the street to his parents' house because his dad has lots of tools. Hubby only keeps the basics because he usually isn't a do-it-yourself kind of guy. LOL! I'll find out and report back.

I like second hand furniture and antiques too. That's a great idea. We have a little square antique table (w a marble top), that was my dads at our front door. Anyway, I like your style! Good job!

Thanks, CardinalGirl.........I'm thinking that if we don't have the proper tools, especially if they have to be electric, there's always someone in the neighborhood who does. Or a nice, handy handyman. Maybe even lumber yards or home improvement centers either rent the tools, or will saw a small table in half for a nominal fee. Just thinking, though. Not sure at all.

Thank you, Lulu! My husband screwed it into the wall with a couple of small L-brackets. Voila! We have another two-legged table that is also bolted to a wall, but it has a marble top.
