Downton Abbey question

Does anyone know how many more episodes this season? Last year I thought they only did 7 - we have had 7 already. And then don't they do a Christmas special that we see at the end of the season?

Episode 8 is this Sunday. The Christmas one is next Sunday, March 1st.

Sad to see DA end for the season but I'll be happy when Call the midwife returns, and Mr Selfrige is returning too.

I love Call the Midwife.it had been too long a wait for the latest season.

Michelle has repeatedly said that she will stay with the series until it ends.

When the season is over I'll pull out the DVD set of "The Forsyte Saga" (the original, 1967 version.)

That dog did one of the finest acting jobs I've seen in a while, man or beast. It was uncanny.

As a friend of mine in England spoiled me for the entire season, I knew about poor Isis. (I guess they couldn't very well change her name) I've watched for foreshadowing throughout the season. A few times, my husband commented Isis was in more scenes this season. (he did not know what was going to happen)

I'm one of those odd ducks who likes to be spoiled. I find I watch more carefully (and observe things I might not normally see)when I know what is going to happen. Had I not known the season Mathew was in the car accident ahead of time, I probably would have been a basket case.

Season Five is the only season that brought a tear to my eye. Isis and something else in the Christmas special. I hope they get another dog by next season .
