Another cat gone

Our second cat has died. Both had feline leukemia. The vet said that virus is common in "barn cats". Our first cat died a couple of years ago, shortly after DH brought home a kitten from the country. It was the "runt" but thrived at our home. We fell in love with both cats, but they each only lived about 3 years. It hurts so bad to lose a pet. They both had a wonderful life with us, but it HURTS SO BAD RIGHT NOW. I know many of you know what I am talking about. I remember writing about the first cat when he died, and wanted to do the same for this one. RIP, Buddy.

I had a leukemia cat that lived for 9 years, but it was a struggle. I had to isolate him from all other cats. He just loved my dad's cat, and once he was diagnosed, I could no longer take him to my parents' house. There is a vaccine for feline Leukemia, but they have to be tested first to see if they didn't get it from birth. So sorry for your loss. It's always heart wrenching to lose a fur baby.

I am sorry. I have not lost a kitty to,feline Lukemia lately but have lost two in the past.

I'm so sorry, heartfelt condolences to you. Buddy knew how much he was loved and now he is in kitty heaven, well and happy. RiP, dear Buddy.

I'm so sorry. I took in a stray cat, and when I took him to the vet for the first time, I was warned that I would want to get the results from the leukemia test before I got attached to him. He didn't have it, but he would have stayed with me even if he did. (No other cats in our home).

Yes, I know exactly how much it hurts and I am so very sorry you're feeling this way. How lucky, though, that your cats knew love and kindness. I have no doubts they had a wonderful home and life. The pain we feel when they leave us is the price we pay for loving them.

So sorry for your loss!!! 8 cats own me and I k ow how much it hurts to lose o e. I know your cats had a wonderful life with y'all. At the end of the day, that will be a comfort to you.

I'm so sorry! I know what you are going thru as I took in a FLV cat. I already had 3 cats that were ok so I kept the flv cat in a room and she thrived and lived a happy life of 6 years. I still miss her and its been over 12 years since she past. ((((Hugs to you))))

So sorry, but bless you for giving both of those cats a home, and a quality of life they wouldn't normally have had, even if it was a relatively short while.
