In Celebration of Spring

We ate violets creamed with snow

in chill air

lit by dim white sun

shielded by sheer clouds.

Purple blossoms with cupped leaves:

gift of the season.

I fed you this meal--

All I had to offer was a

promise

I have a lot of wonderings, do you? For those living throigh blizzard after blizzard, I think about the size of snowflakes and how they tangle together, or come down singly and create massive piles of snow

I like to wonder how much leaves weigh on fully grown trees...
