Hello my friends! Have to hurry - we are meeting Lori for supper at Buffalo Wings - she just text. Will post later - here's the thread I've prepared for you:

M E D I T A T I O N F O R T H E D A Y

I can rely on God. I can trust God to the limit. I can depend on God's
power in all human relationships. I can wait and trust and hope, until God
shows me the way. I can wait for guidance in each important decision. I
can meet the test of waiting until a thing seems right before I do it. Every
work for God can meet this test of time. The guidance will come, if I wait
for it.

Gentle Whisper

The young man had lost his job and didn't know which way to turn. So he went to see the old preacher. Pacing about the preacher's study, the young man ranted about his problem. Finally he clenched his fist and shouted, "I've begged God to say something to help me. Tell me, Preacher, why doesn't God answer?"

The old preacher, who sat across the room, spoke something in reply -- something so hushed it was indistinguishable. The young man stepped across the room. "What did you say?" he asked.

The preacher repeated himself, but again in a tone as soft as a whisper. So the young man moved closer until he was leaning on the preacher's chair.

"Sorry," he said. "I still didn't hear you."

With their heads bent together, the old preacher spoke once more. "God sometimes whispers," he said, "so we will move closer to hear Him."

This time the young man heard and he understood.

We all want God's voice to thunder through the air with the answer to our problem. But God's is the still, small voice . . . the gentle whisper. Perhaps there's a reason. Nothing draws human focus quite like a whisper. God's whisper means I must stop my ranting and move close to Him, until my head is bent together with His. And then, as I listen, I will find my answer. Better still, I find myself closer to God.

I am ever so near you, hovering over your shoulder, reading every thought. People think that thoughts are fleeting and worthless, but yours are precious to Me. I smile when you think lovingly of Me. I'm back! It was wonderful!! We met with Lori and her friend, Elicia, and had the Buffalo Wild Wings, all kinds of different flavors, it was so good and great to be with them. This was the highlight of my day - great blessing!!!

I don't know what's going on with my pasting on the thread again, it was good, maybe I'll need to talk to those computer guys about it, maybe there's something they can do. I had to edit it and erase a bunch of stuff that was making it weird. Believe me - I try hard to make it work the best I know how.

Gloria, glad you enjoyed the Buffalo wings. I love them too. In a while I will probably make a batch from one of the George Stella's "Livin Low Carb" cook books. Of course right now I can only have a little bit of stuff like that on the weekends.

Wow, This week has gone very fast! I was out yesterday for a few hours, and got a lot done. Dropped off our taxes, and several other stops after that. I learned DH's car is not a good match for me, as it sits too low. Really felt it in my back and legs afterwards.

Forecast is looking good except that it's very cold. Beautiful sunny day outside, and I have a few things to work on inside. An additional one to three inches of snow may arrive over the weekend, so we'll be lucky if they're right!

Gloria and Harlene, Have a great day and weekend! Mass on Sunday for me, nothing else planned for now. Hope everyone stays inside and warm when you can! Hugs, pinky

Harlene - you are doing so well on Nutri-system! Enjoy the weekends!

Pinky - after tonight's birthday party for Lori and tomorrow's 80th Birthday party for Darla's Father-in-law, Sunday will just be Mass too, and that's all we have planned. Forcast here is cold, below zero, but no more snow for awhile - we think!

Bobbiesue - Hope you get the mess straight again on your computer.
