I will not watch Dr Phil. I do think he is a very smart man, and also think he is good at what he does, but I don't like to watch his television shows. I like his straightforwardness, but do not find him the least bit entertaining.

IMO, It needed to be done. The girl overdosed on heroin 16 times, someone had to step up and be a jerk to her.

He didn't have to make the two stand up and face each other and make each other break down. It's a technique that uses humiliation and in a very public way.
