I am tired of hosts calling THINGS "Awesome", " Incredible", "Fun" over and over. GOD is "Incredible", and "Awesome"... shoes, tops and pants are NOT. ACTIVITIES and PEOPLE are fun....a flowered sweater is NOT. Please go to your thesaurus and look up some appropriate words, people.....PLEASE!!!!!!

With Lisa R is was "amazing," and "it's interesting," and with Susan Graver it is "gorgeous." Let's face it, people these days have a very limited vocabulary, and then there are those who say "um" throughout. If their presentations bother me I change the channel, because it is so distracting when people do not use fluid sentences, but this seems to be the way lack of proper grammar is going in the present generation and those to follow, very sad.

We all have words/phrases we continually overuse but often do not realize it. Certain words/ phrases are popular and are widely used.

Ain't no way I would want to have to "talk for a living". Now some members that has been around here any length of time knows I am "long on wind" and "short on substance" at times. But to talk incessantly for a living and not fall into using certain words or phrases over and over again?

I have a pretty extensive vocabulary for an old man, but I am in no position to criticize anyone that has to talk for hours, many times about the same product(topic)and not be repetitive.

Sorry it bothers you, but I never have given it a thought.

Turn down your TV during a presentation and pretend you are the host and talk away. If I did that, I know I would use certain words and phrases over and over. Tara at Temptations says beautiful way too many times, and you can expect to hear gorgeous from Susan Graver.
