QVC Price Increases ......even before the shipping changes

I kept thinking the prices seem so much higher on items I purchased in the past. So went through my order history and was shocked at the increases. Isaac 24/7 stretch pants almost $10 higher than a few months ago. Most clothing items had steep increases. It's no wonder I haven't purchased clothing from QVC lately and won't be in the future. I can do so much better in retail sales. Whatever happened to the brick & mortar stores had such high overhead their prices were high. Now it appears QVC has the high overhead.

Many others have posted on various social media sites that they noticed price increases very recently as well. This is just the way Q is going to make up for their "reduced shipping" prices. It is really just smoke and mirrors, and in the long run, not much will really be any cheaper, they will just change how and where the money appears on the bill.

Less shipping, more cost of the item. Less shipping, but no more half price shipping on additional items of the same item number. Less shipping, but no more 'We'll even refund your original shipping if you're not happy with the item". No real change, just an attempt to see if we are really that stupid.

The materials to make clothing has gone up, too.

So, if it cost the makers more to buy the raw materials, they have to make up the loss by charging more to sell the finished item.

It's always been that way.

I can't understand why the cost of materials is going up since the cost of shipping them (using oil in cars/trucks etc.) is going way down.

Come to California where you will pay $5.49 for a dozen eggs, and where you will spend $.50 more per gallon for gas than any other state, and where Moonbeam thinks a $68+ billion bullet train is OK because he likes trains....

Orders for merchandise were probablty placed over a year ago when gas and oil were still high. I know on shophq, they do event prices for a weekend. Once that time period is over, the prices go back up and some are over ten dollars higher than the event price. . Regarding oil and gas prices, market experts are saying they will go backup in a few months so a company is not going to react to a temporary lull in price.

The Q always plays with prices. Featured prices, event prices, one time only, clearance… blah blah blah. Call it whatever but often times their lower prices aren't lower. They don't think we notice but we do.

I agree. After over 20 years here even I am getting fed up with them. One of the only reasons I still shopped here was for pants in talls. They are fazing them, and me, out.

I can find higher quality clothing on sale at Nordie or Neiman's for the price of some of QVC's clothing. I just bought NYDJ for 42 bucks at Nordie, and a real cashmere turtleneck for 72 dollars (reduced from 278) at Last Call, an Italian Moschino handbag at Last Call for 59 dollars. All offered free ship/ returns all the time. You just have to look.

I can afford to shop but not going to pay $10 more for the same item a few months later. Since you are so sweet and kind I think you deserve to buy yourself multiple pairs. QVC obviously needs the money.

A lot of Isaac's pants are currently selling at the qvc price and there is no way in heck I'm paying it. Pants that were once in the forty dollar range that are now $58 and $62. Like I said on another thread not when Qvc is selling 10s of thousands of them that they manufactured at a bulk rate discount.

This made me laugh! Although it shouldn't because I live in CA.

The egg prices are unreal! I realize that it's because all eggs must now come from cage-free birds, but I was already buying this type of egg before the law went into effect...and not paying anywhere near what they cost now.

As for the trains....please take all that money and fix the roads, instead.

Exactly. I suggest people go back and look at their orders the last few months and see how prices have increased. QVC is losing customers and the ones who remain will be paying a lot more. There are a few people who don't seem to mind . I'm not one of them.

I love moonbeam, he has balanced the budget. He has been the best ever! I hate the idea of that #$@%& train! It will be coming our way. Hopefully, knowing the way things work I will be dead and gone before they finish it.
