New shipping and handling policies.....in case you didnt see them....

Every day we’re working hard to deliver more value to you—as we always have. Today is no exception. We’re excited to offer new S&H rates on most items where we charge shipping & handling for standard delivery, starting February 2, 2015.

All apparel, beauty, and jewelry ships at $3, regardless of price or weight.
Most items under $50 and less than 1 lb. ship at $3.
Most other items under $100 and 1 lb. or more ship at $5 or $7.
Items $100 or more ship at existing S&H rates; however, many of these include S&H or offer free S&H.

As part of this change, we will no longer discount S&H when you buy two or more items in the same order, but our new S&H rates will benefit you in many cases.

In addition, we will continue to refund original S&H on returns if an item is defective or we made an error; however, effective with orders placed on or after February 17, 2015, if you return the item for any other reason, we will no longer refund the original S&H.

Interesting about not refunding the original shipping. The discount for multiples of the same item is probably a wash because the rate is $3 each now, but the returned items no refund on orig shipping is saving the Q quite a bit!

So they are paying Peter to rob Paul now huh?? What a joke. I still hardly order anything from the Q because they never give the customer a break. HSN gets 99% of my business at this point.

Another hidden fact is that they are using a different shipping method for the low fee. If you look, it costs more to select USPS and UPS.

For example....the $3 fee is called "Best Standard Delvery"

Then you can alternatively pick "UPS" for $6.22 or "USPS" for $6.22 (and other choices too that are even more $$)

Thank you for pointing this out. I expect we'll see them start using "Smartpost" or other consolidating shipper. Look for lots of posts to come about slow, slow shipping.

I also wonder how they're prepared to deal with what will surely be an uptick in damaged or otherwise "QVC made a mistake" return requests?

Wow. I was excited about the reduced shipping but not about them not refunding original s/h. There go more of my orders from QVC.

Thanks for posting this. I never would have seen it otherwise. This must be the only way QVC can deal with a huge number of returns. This policy pretty much clinches it for me as far as buying from QVC. I won't have S&H deducted if I don't like something and want to return it. Thankfully, QVC's merchandise is getting worse, more expensive, and I have ample shopping where I live.

The return policy is basically the same as Amazon. Amazon deducts $$ from a return unless it's defective or the Amazon description wasn't accurate.

For those who like Amazon, Q's new policy shouldn't make a difference since it's the same.

I've had Amazon use Smartpost on quite a few orders, also. And, have noticed they're using USPS even more than UPS the last few weeks.

All the more reason not to shop here anymore. Nordstrom has free shipping and I have Prime for Amazon. Sephora gives me free shipping because I am Rouge and anything I really need can be bought elsewhere.

It's been a long ride, QVC. More than twenty five years.....with your lack of quality control, clothing that comes to me wrinkled and smells of bug spray, jewelry that is often broken....parting is such sweet sorrow.

I'm very careful about what I order. Looking back just from last year, I returned only 1 item. I have never used the return label.

I don't have a problem with it...

That is not my experience with Amazon. We just returned a car part my son ordered and got every penny back, and our reason was that it turned out we just did not need it.
