I had never ordered from Hayneedle, but I ordered a wall clock from them. It came in yesterday and was delivered by fed-ex. When I picked the box up I could hear pieces moving around in the box. When I took the next box out, it was only covered by a piece of clear plastic, so I could see the clock and the pieces. I could see pieces that seemed to have broken, from the battery compartment and some pieces that had come off the face of the clock. I called Hayneedle and was told to toss the clock and not send it back. I told her I felt it should have been packaged better. She said if it was sent from their warehouse it would have been, but if sent from another company, it might not be. She said she had given me credit on my credit card and she could order me another one if I wanted her to. She said they have to pay to have it sent back and it was a waste of money. I told her I didn't mind paying a few dollars to send it back, and she said no, don't waste you money, just toss it. I really wanted this cute clock for my son. The clock is shaped like a pizza and I know he would love it for a new room he's fixing up. The clock was shipped from NY, and it was a different company then Hayneedle. I do have to say the girl I talked with was very nice about this.

So before I place another order, I was wondering if someone here may have experienced ordering from them.

Thanks

Barbara
