I met Eva Kors on a flight; she was sitting next to me. I didn't even know who she was. She struck up a conversation with me and just seemed like a nice elderly lady. At one point I looked down and saw her tattoo. She saw me notice it and when I looked up at her she nodded. I asked her what camp, and she said "Auschwitz." She told me her story. It was horrible. She had a twin and they were both subjected to "experiments" by Mengele.

I'll never forget her.

I had the honor of meeting Elie Wiesel was amazing. But knowing that my own family members who never made it out and became a memory to me growing up still haunts me.

I lost many members on my mom's side of the family in the concentration camps. A few did get out -- I remember as a child seeing the numbers tattooed on their arm.

As many films and books I've seen on this subject I can't imagine the horrors of living through this or being the first soldiers liberating those camps.

I would highly recommended Alan Resnais' film Night and Fog for those who haven't seen it.

The numbers. What a powerful story each one of them tell. G-d bless those souls who are remembered on this day and hopefully forever.

Never forget.

My husband had relatives who survived the concentration camps. They are not alive now. I'll never forget when his Uncle told me stories of the camp. The tales were unimaginable.

Last night when I saw a news clip about the survivors' visit, I cried. I cannot imagine the flood of emotions. When I visited Dachau, I became physically sick.

I have a few of childhood friends whose parents survived the camps. One of my friend's father was on Schindler's List and until his death was a well known lecturer on the Holocaust. He was a brilliant (and humble) man.
