topic Bird Feeding Question in Community Chat

I live in a townhouse and feel the bird off of my second floor deck. I have 4 feeders affixed to the deck railing, and I also provide water and a suet cake. In addition, I typically thrown a handful or two of seed on my deck for the ground feeders. Consequently, I attract quite a few mourning doves, which I love! Except for one problem! When "fighting" with other birds for territory or seed, one of them will occasionally do "body slams" into my sliding glass door!!!! I have decals in various places on the door, hoping to deter them, but it doesn't work. Anyone have any suggestions? I love to have clean glass, but my door is often marked with smudges from the "body slams". Thanks!
