He loved her - he would sleep under her crib and if anyone came into the house, he ran by her bed as if to protect her.</P> <P>Then came the day she started to crawl. He was walking right along side of her crawling and I saw it about to happen but could just not get there fast enough. She reached out and grabbed his tail. The outcome of the story is he never came out from his hiding place whenever she was up and about. Even when she was older and knew enough not to pull a cat's tail, he would never come out. The second he knew she was in bed, out came the cat.
