Her beauty was/is unconventional, and you know how that goes. My favorite movie with her is "Falling in Love," one of my favorites!

That certainly didn't hurt her career. I think she's entertaining and can sing! She has so much talent who care what that guy thought. Hasn't hurt her career. Bet it hurt her feelings, but she has a lot of people who think she's lovely and talented.

I find she just has a air of class and elegance that so many of the starlets of today do not have. And her talent is so amazing! She can play so many parts that are so so different. Of course my favorite role was ""Bridges Over Madison County"".

I think Meryl is one of those timeless beauties. She was gorgeous when she was younger, with that porcelain skin, but she is still a beautiful woman. She has a unique look that's allowed her to take on so many different roles and embody the essence of the character. Her portrayal of Julia Child and Margaret Thatcher were uncanny and I forgot I was watching Meryl Streep. I have enjoyed so many of her movies and she makes it look effortless whether it's drama or comedy. She looks amazing for 65 and seems to just get better. I haven't seen Into The Woods yet but I want to.

How that very young girl won over her at the PEOPLES CHOICE awards, is beyond me. She won,t even be remember at ME AGE. Goes to show IMO, the people of today do not know real talent.

There are many starlets... few get better with age and can do so many roles as MS.

As lovely as Meryl Streep was/is/will be, she does have an unusual look. Jessica Lange was the "IT" girl @ that time...and had a more 'traditional beauty' look...perfect for a se.x symbol in that movie.

Streep was never a beauty. Jessica Lange is. Both are great actresses. I am sure Streep is satisfied with her career. She has had some great rolls. I don't think she would regret not being cast in King Kong.

She is such a good actress. One of my sisters looks so much like her and people tell her this all the time but she can't see the resemblance.
