Rosie Perez is Out on The View

She won't be returning after she finishes her latest play which has kept her away. The stats on the show have been falling, and they are looking for a younger person to take Perez's seat on the panel. This was just reported on my home page news.

I think they said she never really fit with the way the show was structured, plus she had trouble reading tele prompters and adjusting to the procedures. It may have been a mutual decision.

There wasn't a great deal of positive feedback in the media about her presence at The View. Can't say as I blame her but good for her for trying.

Ratings have gone way down and desention among the ladies. Network wants to cancel show. Whooping has a year contract left and gets paid somewhere around a million, so they will lose money. Today,s show was more stupid than the rest. Like Mario Cantonese, but even with him it was ridiculous. I watch while on treadmill, but will switch to WIINDY WILLIAMS, not quite as bad.

For some reason I watched the show with Rosie and the Frozen quiz that was rather funny, and Mario is always worth watching.

Rosie P, not so much JTB restraints self on rest of her comment

I think The View has run its course, but what else could the network put in its place? another talk show, so they may as well stay with what they have, because whatever they do will still be the same. KWIM?

Rosie O. just announced on "The View" this morning that Rosie P. *is* returning, and all the reporting that she's not returning is not true.

Guess we'll have to wait and see.

Rosie Perez will be leaving The View after less than a season, insiders revealed Wednesday.

Currently on a month-long leave to perform in Broadway's Fish in the Dark, the 50-year-old actress has said she will not return to the show, according to Variety.

Her departure comes at a reportedly tumultuous time for The View, which insiders said recently may not be back for a 19th season.

Perez was added to the show last minute and joined two other incoming hosts--Rosie O'Donnell and politico Nicolle Wallace.

The shakeup came amid plummeting ratings and after show creator Barbara Walters' retirement.

While ratings stabilized, sources told Variety that Perez never quite got the hang of the show's signature hard news/soft news chat format. The source said the stage and screen actress never quite got the hang of reading a teleprompter.

What's more, network insiders revealed to Daily Mail Online on Tuesday that the long-running talk show could end after this season, amid struggling ratings and infighting among the talk show hosts.

The show is suffering some of its lowest ratings ever with its new team of Whoopi Goldberg, Rosie O'Donnell, Nicolle Wallace and Rosie Perez.

Now under the umbrella of ABC News, the network is considering the possibility of ending the show and replacing it with an extended version of 'Good Morning America.'

'The brass at ABC feels like they've tried to do everything possible to breathe new life into this show,' said the insider. They moved it from ABC Entertainment Daytime to the ABC News division, that was having so much success with Good Morning America.

But in spite of the changes, nothing seems to be helping the sluggish ratings for the show.

'They're ready to abandon ship at this point,' the source told Daily Mail Online.

When contacted by Daily Mail Online, a show spokesperson denied any plan by ABC to end the show.

I watch the view every day and there are some days when it is better then another day but I have to say I think Rosie O'Donnell is very enjoyable to watch and listen to. Rosie is not a uninformed person she can hold her own with any one who comes on the show. She knows what she is talking about and knows her facts about the subjects. I would never get rid of Rosie O'Donnell. Also like Nicole she is also well informed on topics.
