They sell these at our CVS for $2 each - no S&H and no tax , plus I don't have to buy 20 at a time or wait for them to come in the mail. And, I am not stuck with ones I can't eat like the blueberry (allergic). I don't see it as a good deal.

It's 20 bars + 10 bonus bars which total 30 bars @ 39.98. Shipping is included and tax is only applied if your state has sales tax on food. That's less than the $2/bar at CVS.

It comes out to $1.33 a bar plus tax. Seems like a pretty good deal. You have to like all the flavors though.

The savory ones look interesting.

IMO, KIND bars are not much different from eating a candy bar. The calorie count isn't bad, but the protein content is lousy. If you want a bar that's going to be a meal replacement and keep you satisfied, Quest Bars or Pure Protein Bars are about the same caloriewise, but have 20 grams of protein.

The coconut almond honey sounds good to me. If I can't find them around here, I think I'll try to make them myself. Anyway, the QVC price sounds good to me because it includes 10 bonus bars. Whatever we aren't particularly crazy about, we can just chop them up and throw them into cookie, cupcake, or muffin batter, or maybe even pancake batter. ...... p.s. I just found a recipe site. Just type in Web Search: Feastingathome.com coconut almond bars

In general: Sometimes aren't we a bit too much into counting exact calories? Every time I see Joy Bauer, I think that she is way too thin, compared with more 'healthy' looking hosts on various TV appearances. Just recently saw her standing next to Jenna B. and Hoda, and that's what came into my mind, right or wrong. JMO, and didn't mean to offend. ......p.s. I think Kind Bars are a good alternative.

Depends on what you are looking for, nutritionally wise, flavor wise, etc. I personally like Pure Protein bars, Premier Protein bars, EAS bars, MetRx, some of the Cliff builders bars have a decent amount of protein.

Life Choice, bought this at Walmart (typically in the cereal/cereal bar aisle) is more a snack bar, but has a good amount of protein, about 15-20g. Better than say a granola bar.

EASadvantage protein shakes are good post work out, same with Atkins. I could never use them as a meal replacement, I'd be starving!

Just do some research. Some have soy, some don't, some are Whey, some use sugar alcohols.

Food bars and protein bars have never worked for me and just made me fat. I only buy organic now anyway and if I'm going to have dark chocolate it's going to say on the package what percent the cocao is. The higher the number the less sugar there is. If I want to eat nuts I buy them raw and unsalted.

It cost the vendor $17 to make/package the product and Q bought it from them for $19 ($2 profit to vendor per bag). Q then sells it to us for $50. That's some mark-up .
