60 Minutes Reporter Steve Croft admits to 3 year affair

This time he had to answer the tough questions.

Veteran “60 Minutes” correspondent Steve Kroft has come clean about a steamy affair with a New York City lawyer, a fiery three-year fling that included hot hotel hookups and torrid text messages.

“I had an extramarital affair that was a serious lapse of personal judgment and extremely hurtful to my wife and family, and for that I have nothing but regret,” Kroft said in a statement to the Post.

“My wife and I are committed to each other and are working hard to get past this, and consider it a private matter.”

It’s a story you won’t see on “60 Minutes.”

This guy is a creep, BIG TIME. He had to admit it because the affair was discovered. Otherwise, he'd be questioned about it forever, you know... like what Croft did to Bill Clinton.

This is none of our business and we don't need to hear this, way TMI. I would have a hard time( could not) getting past this, especially exposed to the world, if I was his wife.

There is a code of conduct when it comes to journalism and other professions. I don't care what Croft does, however his job is to expose others, well, the shoe is on the other foot now. If he is going to live his life reporting conduct of others, his conduct will be questioned.

I laughed when I heard about his ""lapse in judgment"" that lasted three years. So was his reporting of the last 3 years also questionable? Hmmmm...

I don't watch 'single digit TV', so his name escapes me, but curious, after opening this thread, I Googled his name...still nothing. I'm sensing his name creates polar-opposite opinions. I thought 60 Minutes just reports 'already-news' news stories...exposing stories are left to other networks. Has 60 Minutes gotten into the scandal arena?
