is anyone going to watch the new show EMPIRE?

i have been waiting for the show EMPIRE to come on and it is finally on tonight after american idol. is anyone planning on watching this on fox?

it has been described as a "shakespearean hip hop soap opera."

i really like terence howard.....looks like so far it is going to be filled with a little bit of ""everything!""

limited commercial interruptions also.....at least for tonights episode.

I am watching it right now. I am kind of stressed out tonight and these stressed out people aren't helping me. I will give it some more time. I can't stop staring a Terrence Howard's hairdo.

it packed a lot into an hour drama.....i will definitely be back for more!

I think 50 Cent is suing the producers because this program sounds suspiciously like his called Power on the Starz network. The first season was must watch tv imo.

I watched the first half hour then decided that I didn't need to watch these unpleasant people and their unpleasant lives - there's enough ugliness in the world. I don't need to watch a fictional version of it too. I really like Taraji Henson so I was interested to see this, but I guess I am not their target audience :-)

I don't get Starz.

I watched a few minutes of it, I thought it was good but I "get" it.

he is not suing - he is just complaining that this is the case.

i missed the premiere last night but will catch it OnDemand later this morning! taraji and terrence are fabulous actors!!!

Nope. Did catch the season final of Power. And apparently that was all that was needed.

This one does seem like that which is pretty funny that they are so similar just different network.

It was watchable. I also thought the actor portraying "Jamal" did a good job. If I find myself with nothing else to do when it's aired, I will tune in.

I saw Wendy Williams talking about this yesterday and how it was must see. Honestly I'd never heard a thing about it until her show.

It just didn't interest me to even bother to tune in.

OTOH, I discovered a new channel on TWC called Nuevo and they replayed 3 episodes of The Shield. DH and I got into that show the second to the last season so we got to see season 1 episodes, including the pilot.
