Celebrity Apprentice 2015 - tonight. Real Housewives Fans and others - who's watching?

Returns tonight with 16 new C-listers (and I'm being generous) competing in nominally business-related tasks to raise money for their respective charities, although the wins often come down to which contestants have the most pals willing to shell out major bucks for questionable foodstuffs.

I don't have high hopes for this season, which was taped nearly a year ago and has been on NBC's shelf ever since, but then again, I never expected to enjoy this show in the first place. NBC sent out the first half of the first episode for review; the challenge has the two teams making and selling pies. It's a fairly typical brew of rampaging ego and second-guessing, with a special guest appearance by Cake Boss Buddy Valastro, who picks the best tasting pie for a special bonus.

This year's cast is no better or worse then previous seasons, with the usual assortment of athletes, past-their-prime actors, and refugees from other reality shows. (Side note: I showed a photo of the cast to my husband, who, granted, once asked me in all seriousness, "What's a Brangelina?" and he was only able to pick out Geraldo Rivera and Gilbert Gottfried, and mistook "The Deadliest Catch" star Sig Hansen for Gary Busey.)

Who are this year's best bets? Based on my formula — smarts times grace under pressure divided by craziness — and the portion of the first episode available for viewing, I might Kay money on New Jersey's own Kevin Jonas, Olympic gymnast Shawn Johnson, and 'Real Housewives of Atlanta" star Kenya Moore. Rivera may be the one bringing the nuts — there's a shot in the season preview of him rushing about in his undies, no pun intended. (Also look for a very uncomfortable exchange between Cosby kid Keshia Knight-Pulliam and Moore about Knight-Pulliam failing to call on Bill Cosby to donate.)

I'll be watching. This show has always had D listers so that doesn't bother me. I will watching Kate as I don't really like her but find her fascinating (not sure why).

Actually this show is fun to watch in a weird sort of way although DH and I can't stand Trump lol.

Guess we need to record something because we want to see the

Roger Ebert documentary AND Downton Abbey and now this!

This was filmed a loooong time ago. I remember when Kate Gosselin did that Wedding Dress thing for charity. She posted about it on twitter. It was probably last winter.

I'm watching. You know Celebrity Apprentice was supposed to air in early Fall and they kept putting it back. I have no idea why. So yes this was filmed many months ago. I was surprised the guy from Deadliest Catch is on this year.

just got in from dinner.....needed a night out after all of the holiday food!

i came in, started a load of laundry , and turned on celebrity apprentice. this was filmed in early 2014. i think joan rivers may even be in an episode or two. i will be watching it.

i will also be starting a rhoa thread for tonights episode. i have read some spoilers for this season so i kind of know who goes a bit far in the challenges. i pretty much cannot stand brandi.

looks like the women are doing better than the men so far. not sure geraldo is really doing anything other than sitting on the phone!

I don't always watch CA but I am going to this year because of all the leaks that were made while they were filming it. Kenya was really nasty to Vivica Fox and at one point when Vivica set her phone down and Kenya picked it up and started tweeting on VF's twitter account, pretending to be VF. She said some insulting stuff apparently and tweeted as though she was Vivica and made comments about being old and menopausal. Donald Trump also called Kenya Moore the most evil person he ever met as he fired her and it was supposedly a very brutal firing so I am sure this show will be full of drama. I am also interested in seeing how Kate Gosselin does. Kate and Kenya were supposedly best buddies while filming. I don't care for her at all but I feel she has a good chance of being one of the better players because she is extremely organized and task oriented and pretty relentless.
