New Nutri-System ad.......

Ok, it's the first day of the new year and I'm already tired of the new Marie Osmond Nutri-System commercial. Am I the only one???

Last year she looked in a mirror and didn't like what she saw so she called NS and lost 50 lbs. This year her mother told her she needed to lose weight but she paid no attention. Then her mother passed away and she realized she needed to do something so she called NS.

I know the best way to avoid hearing the ads is to turn off the t.v. but I keep it on for background noise.

I don't pay attention or care one way or the other to most commercials although there are a few that do get to me and are really bad!!

I know I get tired of seeing her face all the time. I think Nutri-System is in rut and can't find anyone else to do those commercials.

Ok Nutri-System, enough is enough.

I wish I would have counted how many times I have seen MO doing her commercials today. I know I can put my TV on mute, but believe you met, it would be on mute for the whole day and evening.

It seems that they think everyone put on weight during the holidays...... I know I didn't because I was watching what I have been eating...... I don't let the Holidays rule what I eat. Thank goodness I know what is healthy and what isn't.

I think she is saying that her Mom was fat and she does not want to look like her mother in the new commercial.

She is so phony, and so is Nutrisystem. They get the people that can afford personal trainers and chefs so yes they will loose weight and keep it off.

Rant away! I saw the commercial and thought exactly what you wrote. She'll try any angle to sell that product, including bringing up her deceased mother as part of a sales pitch and I don't believe the system is responsible for her 50 lb. loss!

I used to like Marie but since she is making these commercials I can't stand her any more.
I do not believe Nutri System is responsible either.

I'm tired about hearing Marie talk about how she lost her blasted 50 pounds with Nutrisystem. She's been losing that same 50 pounds for ten years now.You're not telling me she didn't excersize and have a personal chef. Puhleez.

I agree - I was shocked to hear the new one with her bringing her dearly departed mother into the fray...how tacky! I guess she - and NS - are trying to tug on people's heartstrings or something, but it sure doesn't fly with me.

I used to like Marie but since she is making these commercials I can't stand her any more.

I agree. Prior to her weight loss she appeared to have a true air of humility and humor about her which is now replaced with a weird phoniness that is such a put off.

This one kind of bothers me. I don't know about her mom, but it bothers me to think she brings up her mother after all this time, to sell something. It could be true, but it bothers me.

I do turn the channel on that one. Just like the abused animal ones. Some stuff I just can't take.
