They are playing "Unchained melody" on the radio.

When I was in nursing school we all thought that was the ultimate sexiest song ever. Sigh - a great memory. I danced to that song with my first husband so many times - oh my - now I am getting sad. Feelings are so intense when you are that young.

Loved the Righteous Brothers. I have their CD's in my car. Sometimes, when those old songs pop up, it is so bittersweet and can almost make one ache from the memories. I know what you mean Happy.

Years ago, my husband was out of the country for about a month, for work. I was in middle of the grocery store when Unchained Melody started playing. Tears just started rolling down my face.

in my class of 30 in nursing school only 14 made it to graduation. A few flunked out but the rest had to quit due to pregnancies. We all blamed the Righteous Brothers and Johnny Mathis for it.

I too have lost the guy I danced to this song with. I was only 30 when he died. Hearing it today did make me think of him and miss him. I love the man I am married to now but you just never love again like you love someone at 19 years old. Actually , the song made me miss Peter and it made me miss being that young as well.

My stepdad wanted the Al Hibbler album with him singing Unchained Melody really bad and couldn't find one. I searched on the internet to buy one for his BD and couldn't find one. I came here to the boards many years ago and a poster found one for me online and I bought it for him. He was so happy. That was many years ago. I don't remember who the poster was now.

BTW, I love the song too! Beautiful!

That is such a beautiful song. It's a real tear jerker. I'm sorry you lost your first husband at 30. You are right about feelings being so intense when you are young. It is somehow different when you fall in love again. You know you are in love, but it is not the same.
