Just gotta say I love Amazon!

Those people really have their act together. I did almost all my Christmas shopping with them and have never been Disapointed with their service. My daughter wanted to get her DH a new phone for Christmas. he dropped his and while it still works the screen was cracked he is not eligible for a trade in. She has been checking all over for the best price without a trade in and just has not been happy with the price at Best Buy, Target, Wal-Mart etc. I told her to let me try Amazon. Click, click, click, ordered, free shipping with Prime. Will be delivered on 12/24. Total $52.00. Done, Done and Done!

I'd like to give a shout out to UPS, too. I ordered a couple of sparkly tops to wear for Christmas, from QVC. Yesterday, the tracking said they were due for delivery on Monday, but the brown van brought them today. Today is Sunday. I've never had a UPS delivery on Sunday before.

I do, too! I always do a lot of Christmas shopping by way of Amazon.

This morning, my daughter gave me a short list of books DH would really appreciate. I ordered, knowing they will be here in time

I love amazon so easy to shop there. They almost have everything. Would you believe I bought Liptons cup of soup. I was looking for cream of chicken soup in several super markets and couldn't find it, so I turned to amazon.

I prefer Amazon to Qvc. UPS is terrible including this time of year. Yes, they have a helper now but we still get deliveries between 6-9pm and I have never seen them deliver on a Sunday....why would they do that when they are adamantly opposed to delivering on a Saturday? Plus not much difference in waiting one extra day for Monday, imo. Now, if something was supposed to be delivered on a Fri and it in fact arrived into your hometown on that day in the morning but was left in a trailer over the weekend, that is unacceptable and in fact what UPS does all the time out here. No one else does that....not Fedex and certainly not USPS. So, it's 2 thumbs down for UPS.

Im just the opposite............I love UPS and am not a fan of FedEx.........just got a laptop from the Q.........FedEx was the carrier, they tried to deliver and I was at work, they needed a signature, they wanted me to sign a slip so they could leave the laptop on my doorstep..........which meant it would be there all day long........or just long enough for someone to see it and take off with it............not good...........................raven

yep.............actually I already have a 17" HP laptop I had gotten from the the Q a few years back and loved it.........but.........it was HEAVY........so I gave it to RoRo and I bought the one the Q offered that was 15" and so far I really like it........I needed one that was easier to haul around when I'm at a clients house logging their wall dimensions and one that's got enough power for my CAD program.........windows 8 is taking a bit of getting used to but other then that it's awesome.......................................raven

my postman has done a lot of that this xmas season...........I was really surprised because we have those boxes they normally put packages in and leave the key in your box........but he's brought them right to the door...................................raven

I saw our mail lady driving her USPS van at 8.30am this morning, when I was out with the dog. She didn't bring me anything, but she obviously delivering in the area. I knew Amazon had contracted with the post office to do Sunday deliveries, I was just surprised that our regular lady driver was doing it, rather than them getting extra staff. I hope she volunteered, and wasn't pressured into working.

it comes with a package of software trials...........most of it, well all but one, is junk you'd probably never use or want..........could do without the Mac virus protection, not a fan of it.........but I don't use that laptop for anything but work...........the gesture thing is cool when you're showing a client the drawings of their new kitchen, that one I do like..............................................raven
