? about Bill Cosby knock out drug

I'm just wondering what drug would be strong enough to cause someone to be affected after 2 sips, (Beverly Johnson), and be able to knock someone out after a large dose? How was it that no one had a big time adverse reaction, or death to such a strong drug?

Rohypnol doesn't take long for the effects to be felt (20 min). It can also cause amnesia. When it's dissolved in a drink you can't taste it or smell it.

Maybe Cosby was just lucky he didn't kill someone. Or maybe he did and no one knows about it yet.

ETA I don't know what drug Cosby used on his victims. He's the only one who can answer that.

I wonder how Cosby was able to arrange for a continual supply of the drug over the years without a doctor or pharmacist becoming suspicious. There must be medical professionals out there somewhere that were his suppliers.

I seriously doubt it was hard to get any drug, legally or illegally, back in those days if you knew the right people.

I have no doubt about that, but now that all this is coming out, I would think it would bother someone's conscience. People love to please celebs, and I'm sure Cosby had a favorite doctor or pharmacist that was more than happy to hook him up to a steady supply. I guess these people didn't wonder or even care what he was doing with all those drugs over the years.

I seriously doubt that a doctor and pharmacist were involved at any point.

Drug dealers can get all kinds of drugs, and all Cosby had to do is send his "gofer" to buy them. No biggie.

It used to called "slipping somebody a mickey", after a Mickey Finn character.

My doctor told me the drug was "Chloral Hydrate" which was withdrawn in 2012-2013 because of supply issues. It's a class IV drug.

....all I can say is, I can't wait for the movie! Actually, I do believe that Cosby was obtaining the mystery drug from a pharmacist or perhaps even a chemist because I just do not see him dealing with drug dealers. I think he had enough money to pay someone, a professional, handsomely to supply him with the drug. I suppose, we'll never know what it was. We can all make up stuff, but what's the point in that....? There's Klonopin and Rohypnol today but I wonder if those drugs were available 35 or 40 years ago. Beverly Johnson's story is the only story that has the ring of truth to it, for me anyway. The others talked about taking pills from him and it didn't ring true that so many women would take unknown pills from some man and that they would all have the exact same physical reaction. Lose consciousness, Cosby attacks, woman wakes up and never goes to the police. All of them? Why? His slipping something into Johnson's drink and her her subsequent reactions just seem real and logical. Not that it matters. Even her reasons for not going to the police are logical. Either his escapades stopped long ago or more recent victims haven't come forward. I suspect he stopped as he got older. Either that or attorneys worked very quickly and have already paid off any vicitms for whom the statute of limitations has not passed.

He may never be charged criminally, but there is positively no doubt in my mind Mr. Crosby is a serial predator. Finding drugs to help him commit his crimes was probably very easy. Too bad he didn't use them on himself.
