      <description>&lt;P&gt;Just curious on how everyone returns an item that they bought online.&lt;IMG src="http://community.qvc.com/DesktopModules/ExactTarget/Controls/TextEditor/jscripts/tiny_mce/plugins/emotions/img/001_smile.gif" alt="Smile" /&gt;&lt;/P&gt; &lt;P&gt; &lt;/P&gt; &lt;P&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;Do you bring the item to USPS/UPS/FedEx and pay for shipping that way?&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/P&gt; &lt;P&gt;OR&lt;/P&gt; &lt;P&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;Do you attach the return label shipped with the item and let the company deduct the shipping price from your card?&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/P&gt; &lt;P&gt; &lt;/P&gt; &lt;P&gt;Also, &lt;EM&gt;which way, have you found, to be less expensive?&lt;/EM&gt;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>If it's a small, lightweight item, I.e., jewelry, you do best by taking it to the USPS and paying for the return and insurance. If it's fairly large, like a pair of shoes, you'll usually do best by using the paid label with no need to insure.</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I usually use the pre-paid label. It's worth the convenience of not standing in line at the post office.  UPS is almost always more expensive.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

You may be able to send it by USPS for less if you don't insure the item.  I know for sure that UPS charges by zones.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I have rarely had to return anything, but I recently received a Temptations measuring cup set and one piece was broken.  I repackaged it, enclosed the form (after I filled out the appropriate information), slapped on the label, and handed the package to my letter carrier.  No way was I going to head to the post office or UPS store at this time of year.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

They won't do it automatically.</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;When I returned things (which is rare) I took it to the post office. Much cheaper than UPS. Plus UPS is 30 miles away..lol. The post office is 3 miles. With QVC I did NOT use their label.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Shippers generally enclose information in the package giving you options for returns, and often a pre-printed shipping label.  If not, the info should be available on their website.&lt;/P&gt; &lt;P&gt;My favorite ploy is to order from stores where I can return things to a local store -- JC Penney or any of the major department stores, Land's End can be returned to Sears, etc.  I used to do this with Coldwater Creek, till their stores closed.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I never ship anything back FedEx or UPS. &lt;/P&gt; &lt;P&gt;As others have said, if it's a light item like jewelry or even some clothing, I do USPS Click N Ship on my computer, print off the label and drop it in the mailbox.  No need to go into the post office and wait in line.  &lt;/P&gt; &lt;P&gt;If the item is heavier, you are much farther ahead to us the pre-paid label and let them deduct the return s/h from your refund.     &lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Last week I mailed a smallish, very lightweight package - less than a pound.  No insurance, no speedy delivery.  Cost was almost $9 - and I wasn't paying for packing materials or a box!  Makes QVC's charges sound pretty cheap to me. &lt;/P&gt; &lt;P&gt;I still look first for products I want.  I just don't care whether shipping if free is I don't love what I'm ordering.  That goes for QVC or anywhere else.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I usually use the labels Qvc provides as others have stated, it comes with insurance or I'll print one out if I've already thrown it away.  Also, I've become quite the expert at packaging returns as sometimes those q bags don't come with a strip to re-use them.  Not a problem, I just fold it over and then staple 'em (not the contents of course).  &lt;/P&gt;</description>
