These large watches...

Do you think this is a trend that will still be around a few years from now? Or will it be like the big shoulder pads? Now, when we look at the photos of mega-shoulder-padded women from the 80's...we think they looked silly.

I bought a larger sized Judith Ripka watch once, and it was too big for me. I took it to a local jeweler to see if he could resize it for me, and he said he could but didn't really want to! He said he thought these big watches look like people are wearing alarm clocks on their wrists! I had to agree, and I returned it.

So...I learned my lesson, and won't buy another big one, but they still seem popular.

Not only do I thing big watches are on their way out but I think ALL watches are. I have several and I liked the large ones because of my vision. Now I just use my phone to see the time when I am out. And at home I have clocks all over the house.

I love my "Boyfriend" watch. I too needed as many links as possible taken out but I wish they could have taken one more out. Anyway, I think they will last for quite a while.

I don't know how long they will be around but I love them. I have several Fosil watches that have interchangeable bands. It fun!

I don't wear watches as often as I once did, but I do have several, not counting my sports watch. The largest one has a face that is about 1" in diameter. I think anything bigger than that would be uncomfortable, for me.

And yes, my cell phone does give me the most accurate time, especially when traveling from one time zone to another. Sometimes, when I'm wearing a watch, I still find myself checking my phone for the time!

I like my watches. I think carryng a cell around looks silly and desperate, like you're hoping someone will call.

I like a smaller watch (usually two-toned expansion) with larger numbers - not huge but large enough to read without my glasses.

I don't like the BIG watches as they would not go well with my office attire or church attire so my use would be limited. I don't think I have ever used my cell phone to check the time, other than when the time changes twice a year to see if it is accurate. I naturally see the time if I open the phone but I very rarely do.

I love watches but have thin wrists. Large face watches are uncomfortable and look ridiculous on me.

I think they are here to stay.

I bought a large Cartier watch when I graduated college. I'm glad I bought a large one. I don't like dainty watches. My dad gave me his watch. I love them. It's just my preference...

I have some of the large watches, but am not wearing them as much anymore. I am wearing a much smaller watch (a very inexpensive Isaac Mizrahi) and I never take it off. I do use it to tell time, I never even think to look at my cell phone, as it's hardly ever in my hands.

I wear a watch everyday................I have the big ones and small ones.........but lean towards the big..........have a Citizens I wear most of the time, it's a boyfriends watch........I like it because you don't need a battery..........solar powered...................................raven
