Ray Rice reinstated in NFL

Former Baltimore Ravens running back, Ray Rice, has won his appeal of his suspension.

He was released by the Baltimore Ravens after video of him hitting his then fiance.

Any team can now sign him.

Wondering if one will. Wouldn't surprise me if he was signed by another team!

i knew that he won his appeal - meaning he was eligible to be reinstated. but that he would not considered to be until a team chose him.

I heard a sports commentator talk about this tonight and I agree with him.

He said no team will sign him right now because this late in the season they do not want any distractions for their team. If they have any playoff possibilities, the worst thing would be the distraction and turmoil of bringing him on board.

After the season ends? I have no doubt some team will take him. Disgusting business.

I also heard a recent interview with his wife tonight and I just shook my head. She'll get beat again. It's only a matter of time.

Of course he will be signed. Famous people get away with everything. I hope he got help and he learned his lesson for his wifes sake. That's all I can say.

Why is no one commenting on the wife's behavior? She instigated the incident, attacked first. Are men now free game to be slapped and pummeled by women and are meant to just take it?

Of course he'll be signed by another team and his reinstatement was a no-brainer. We should all know by now that teams will tolerate anything in a player, slap him on the wrist and then, once the furor dies down, welcome him back...

He should be allowed to return based on the inconsistent treatment the NFL doled out at the time. He will be signed by another team in short order I suspect.

He'll be signed. The pig M. Vick's was signed after all the horrific acts he participated in(killing and torturing innocent dogs).

What would happen if women didn't support football? That is, don't attend games, don't hostess football parties, don't join in tailgating, don't support advertisers. We hold up half the sky and a great deal of our economy.

I'd like to see Mr. Rice play and every female present (and the men who respect them) turns their backs & leaves while he's on the field. Games are televised. Could send a message.

Philadelphia gave the animal abusing quarterback a second chance. Didn't go well. Winning takes character and respect for leadership.

I agree on this one!! She clearly was the aggressor in this one and being they were both drinking - I would say neither was right!!

First let me say I grew up with a father who was abusive to my mother for no reason so I know the horrors of domestic violence!!

Many women are nasty and scheming and I have witnessed such goading behavior many times. They say/brag about how they push their men by things they say and do and even throw stuff at them or strike them knowing if they even push the woman away they are subject to being accused of domestic violence!! I don't agree that a man under any circumstances should NEVER touch a woman!! I say if any woman initiates an incident by striking first then all bets are off!!! Common sense should dictate that if I or any other woman goes after a male then she very well should know the consequences!!! I witnessed an incident once where this woman was continually slapping and punching her husband. He kept walking away but she kept at him her mouth getting nastier as she kept hitting him. She was not strong enough to do much damage but in an effort to get away from the situation the man finally pushed her and she tripped into a chair and fell. He was arrested and charged in spite of several witness statements as to what actually happened!! Women often chase after these famous sports figures for the fame and money and that type of personality often are capable of setting up the man for a fall and ruining their career if they don't get what they want want!!! It's sad. Sure there are many really guilty but many others who have been and will be set up!!!

In the Rice case, he was give a suspension and the owners of the team should have had to stick by their decision regardless of who was right in that situation!
