How much do you pay for a haircut?

There was a thread like this in Beauty Banter and I thought it was interesting. How much do you pay for a haircut? what services and how much do you tip?

I used to go to Great Clips and paid under $20 for a haircut, but now go to Vidal Sassoon and pay $78 and it's worth every penny. I tip $20.

I pay $40 for a haircut. That include the blow dry and style. I go every 8 weeks for a cut.

I do color my hair at home though. The salon I used to go to was charging me upwards of $100 for a cut, color and style.

$12 for the cut plus $3 tip at my barber.

Between $100-$125 including tip for cut and color. A little more if I have a few highlights done. It's worth every penny.

Between color, cut, manicures and pedicures my husband thinks I should own the salon by now.

$35 for cut and color - my cousin is a hair stylist - and very generous.

I used to go to the "head stylist" and that was over $100. She changed her hours so I changed salons. Now paying $67, plus tip.

Depends. Depends on what I get done. Maybe just a trim or re-shaping. For a new overall style I pay more. Around $65 plus 20% tip. It's Los Angeles and we have high prices.

For just a haircut and blow out I pay $40. For cut and color, it costs about $200 with tip and I gladly pay. She does 3 colors in my hair and it's quite labor intensive, but even in my old age I get lots of compliments on my hair.

$30 for cut/blowout. $60 for color. But my stylist is next door to my office, and we let her use our fax machine and copier, plus some occasional "handyman" work by one of our employees (who is also a friend of hers), AND everyone in the office uses her...so she's never gone up on her prices for us, and when I get color every 4 months she only charges me for the color, not the cut/blowout that goes with it. I think it's a pretty good deal!

Depends I have paid as much as 450 in NYC and as little as 20.00 in NJ. For my color it ranges from 75. and up depending where I am.

$105 for 2 process color and cut/style (plus $20) tip. Well worth it as well. JCPenney's salon, same stylist for many years. Always re-book my appointments so I don't have to worry about not getting in every 6-8 weeks. In fact, I booked in August for the holiday appointments.

I don't know how much my haircut costs. I never get just a haircut. Depending on what I have done, I spend anywhere from $100 to $250. My husband goes to the same place, and his 10-minute haircut is $32.

I live in the LA area also, so everything is higher priced here. Just had my hair cut yesterday. I see a master stylist at my salon, so I paid $82 for a haircut plus a 20% tip. I don't usually have him do a blowout anymore since I had my hair cut into a pixie style.

I pay 40 bucks.

My "girl" raised her prices to $50 and sometimes more than that, but I've been going to her for so long and sent her a lot of business, so she doesn't raise me. (yes, i know that's a run on sentence)

Nice! When we were first married, I had a friend who was a stylist. She would come to my house and cut and style my hair for free. If she colored it, I bought the supplies, and she only charged $10. I'd take her to lunch now and then to thank her.
