Starbucks Christmas Blend--Anyone tried?

Hi Ladies-- Starbucks has had this blend at holiday time for at least a few years now. I cannot for the life of me remember if I've tried it or not. I am thinking about picking up a box or two of the k-cups and wanted to get your opinions before I do so. Anyone love this blend? TIA

No. I like deep roasted, smooth coffee with a hint of chocolate (unflavored, of course), and this isn't it this year.

Thanks, ladies. And deb--I know what you mean--it is spendy. :-0 Lately we've been loving the regular Donut Shoppe coffee. But I DO like. Few of the SB blends, including the Veranda roast. If I see it at a Starbucks store and it's being brewed, I'll have to ask for a sample.

For kcups I generally look for extra bold coffee and look and see how much coffee is in each cup. I don't for flavored, I put creamer and sugar in it anyway. I generally have a flavored in the afternoon. Right now Timothy's german chocolate cake is my favorite. I add caramel creamer in it.

*ETA* Starbucks is .40oz so that's pretty good.

I have. Its good.. I also purchased the holiday blend.. both are very good.. And the blonde roast holiday blend.. I got a good deal on them at Starbucks.com, along with 2 mugs..

I love the seasonal blends best of all. I find they have more interesting flavors and are not over-roasted. My favorite so far is ""Tribute Blend"" which is not around the whole year. I tend NOT to like the Thanksgiving blend and to love the Christmas blend.

Hi Campion-I've only ever tried the Anniversary Blend out of their special edition coffees. This was one I heard about from someone on this board. If I remember correctly, it's out in the summertime.

I will look for the Tribute Blend. And perhaps take my chances with the Christmas! TU

Hi Circles-

I am very particular when I buy the Starbucks coffee. If I'm even near an SB and just want a regular cup of coffee, I like the Veranda, blonde roast. That's pretty much the only one I ever get anymore. However, for at-home brewing in my Keurig, I have liked both the Veranda and Anniversary blends.

Glmama, I've never bought the K-cups, but I buy a pound every holiday season and have the barista grind it in an espresso grind. I use it in my espresso maker to make homemade eggnog latte's for holiday gatherings. When Starbuck's first started doing their holiday lattes, I asked the barista what roast of coffee they used to make them, and she told me they used the Christmas blend, which they now term Holiday blend. I've used standard espresso roast, and I actually do think the holiday blend makes a better latte, it's not quite as harsh as the standard. HTH!

Definitely not the only one. I find Starbucks coffee over-roasted, "burned" and bitter. Where I live I can get both Peet's and Coffee Bean K-cups. Most people in SoCal prefer Coffee Bean to Starbucks.

Moonchilde-I know lots of people who don't like it SB coffee. And it's not my all-time fave, either. I've had Coffee Bean and really like it, too.
