Reported on CNN. Peter Kassig a American aid worker volunteering in Syria. captured and held for over a year. Whatever action we are taking against this group is simply not enough!

As sad, tragic and horrible as their actions are - they shouldn't be used to goad us back into war.

I am actually very much a pacifist but they can't be allowed to do the things they are doing without retribution. I think our government and our alias are in that awful place between a rock and a hard place.

The retribution needs to come from their fellow ME residents, IMO.

Sooner or later, people will become disgusted with them and won't be afraid to fight them.

We are at war with terrorism every day. The tape showed Syrian soldiers, not humanitarian workers; however, life is life. It's easy for us to sit back and say no more war - but it wasn't OUR sons being beheaded.

I didn't say all out war - but again, we are at war with terrorism every single day around the world.

And again, it's so easy to sit back because it isn't OUR sons being beheaded, although my son did serve in the military a few years back.

Nobody likes war; nobody wants more bloodshed; and unfortunately too much has gone on unchecked.

I'm not saying we should go to war but we need to do something.

I have a feeling we will wait until something horrific on a large scale happens to us. Then we will be ready. Sadly it will be too little too late.

I don't think past mistakes should preclude our taking action against this evil. The Pentagon is awaiting authorization from Congress before going forward.

Yes, I agree.

I think for the time it takes to get things stable in the middle east, that anyone who hold a notion of going to do volunteer work/help, etc. should just remain here and help those that have needs. There are plenty.

terrier~please explain. I saw a large group (of Syrians) being led, I supposed to their deaths. So they were Syrian soldiers and were followers and were still killed?
